Very Good Watch for the price
First off I am not a bot. This is a real review by just a regular normal guy. This is a really good watch for the money. It has all the features of a high end smartwatch but without the high cost. It looks nice while wearing it. I thought the face would be really big, but its actually a perfect size for my wrist. It lets you answer phone calls and read text. You cannot reply to text only read because you have no keyboard, but that's ok for me at least you can read them. You can change it up and customize it anyway you would like through the Zepp app. There are a lot of free apps and custom watch faces on the app that you can download for free. The health features are all great ,Heart rate , o2 stats and the exercise apps are all really good and keep track of multiple types of exercise like walking, running, and bike riding. All the health functions sync really well with my I-Phone. The sleep app is really nice .You can keep track of your sleeping habits. It lets you see how long and how well you slept through out the night. The charger charges the phone quickly and you can use it for 8-10 days depending on what apps you are running in the background. You have to download the Zepp app to use the watch but its really not that hard and the app is very good. Its really easy to set up with the set up QR code. It comes packaged in a nice box with the charger and the user manual. The charger works very nice but the cord is a little short Its magnetic and it will only connect it the correct way every time. I have an apple phone and it syncs very easily to it with no issue and the Zepp app is in the apple App store. There is an Alexa link up on there so you can use your Alexa but I am not an Alexa guy so I don't really use it ,but who knows I might in the future at least its there. All in all I say this is a great watch with a lot of very useful apps and functions. If you want a budget watch with all the high end function of an expensive watch this is for you. I really enjoy the functionality and the ease of use. 5 stars all the way. Signed-- Just A Normal Guy.

Great watch and a great value
I’ve tried a couple different smartwatches and like this one. Good quality and a good price. I’ve been able to get 12 days between charges by not using a lot of health/fitness options and recharging when it drops below 30%. PROS: Both Android and iPhone users can use this watch Watch is lightweight Easy to change watch band (I use a Velcro-style fabric band) Easy to read with adjustable font size Excellent color screen Easy to change watch faces you have downloaded from their App Store Decent sound quality (as caretaker I use it to check my Mom’s timers with Alexa) Can opt to connect with Alexa Lot of health and fitness options (I just use sleep and step tracking) Can add apps (from their store only - some free and others under $3) Has Widgets (under Device Settings then scroll down to Widgets which includes the Health and Fitness options) Shortcut Cards allow you to access apps AND widgets Has quick access to the Control Center You can hide and reorder any of the apps and widgets Most of the setup and settings are done through the phone app CONS: Limited App Store (okay for me but others may be disappointed) Almost impossible to turn off Progress and Stand Up reminders (they need to make this easier to turn off) Lack of instructions and phone app has so many options you may want to check a couple YouTube reviews for tips. Can be a bit confusing at first because it can do so much. TIPS: From main screen on: Apps - tap button again to scroll through and access Widgets - swipe from right to left to access, but once you go past your last widget it will show the Shortcuts Shortcuts - swipe from left to right to access Control Center - swipe down to access (battery level, etc.) Notifications - swipe up to access for text messages, etc. (and Activity Progress Reminder) NOTE - some shortcuts and widgets will display more information when tapped (weather, sleep, calendar)

Over all, a great watch, but could definitely be better. (for the BIP 5, not the BIP 3 pro)
Ok, so overall, this watch, like said, is pretty ok. I have been using it for a week now, and I think that it fits me practically perfectly, but maybe not for other people. I think that for the price, it really is probably the best smartwatch you could get under $100.As promised in the labeling, it does have a very large display, but it makes up for that large size in two ways. 1: instead of the regular two supporting little stubs on the side, the band is attached directly to the watch itself, and 2: the band is much smaller, and because of the 2.5 d curved screen, it really feels comfortable on your wrist. It also has great features that you would find on, an Apple watch, or other great smartwatches. The scrolling is great, and because it runs on Zepp OS, the UI, special features, and more are not just better, but there are also more. It has a 300 mAh battery, and depending on the usage, it can actually last even more than the predicted 10 days, and can, at least in my experience, even up to 20 days, much better than the Apple, or Galaxy watches that rule the smartwatch world. The built-in Alexa is pretty slick but like all other Amazfit watches, the functionality is not the best, but unlike other Amazfit watches, the Alexa speaks, and you can read it too, which is something that the older ones can't. Now about the flaws, I'm going to be comparing this watch to the Amazfit GTS series, specifically the GTS 2. One thing that I noticed right away when I was doing my research was that the watch is not waterproof. it is water resistant, but only ip 68 if I'm not wrong. This means that it can withstand rain and dust, but you can't wear it during showers, and definitely not in a pool. Another flaw is that even though the watch is mostly better than the GTS 2, the GTS 2 does have the ability to play music on the watch itself, but I feel like that is quite unnecessary because you can just play it on your phone, or if you really want to be able to play the songs of your dreams, let me warn you, the music quality isn't that good. This may be a minor thing, but it does find it annoying because unlike the GTS', the bip 5 doesn't have quick /shortcuts, like double crown click and hold crown. Other than that this watch is something that I'd wholeheartedly recommend this watch to you, but if you are a hard-core fitness trainer, this watch might not be the best for you. It's a smartwatch, not a fitness tracker. If you want a good fitness tracker, then I recommend the Fitbit versa's.

Super value for the price compared to others
This is my first smart watch, so I don't know why paying hundreds of dollars for the name-brands would be worth it. I paid $75 for this on Black Friday and I have had it several weeks now and am very happy with its performance and battery life, available apps, and things it measures, and accuracy. This has the features of a digital watch for legibly telling time, day of week, and month and date. It has the features of a health tracker. It has afeatures of a workout watch. Everything is plenty accurate (do you really need a perfect measure of your heart rate, or just a relative one?); I've read that this brand has actually beaten the pricier competition in accuracy comparisons on steps. I find it quite accurate for steps and distance walked. Three things I don't like: (1) screen does not stay on all the time to save battery. You have to shake your arm or push the side button to turn it on. That is annoying because I often just want to glance at my watch in the middle of doing things to see what time it is. I feel like they could make an optional mode that would use some sort of low power blacka nd white display mode to just show time, day, date. (2) Watch and app interfaces have a hundred options and a confusing array of menu items you have to trail down to find any given feature. Maybe I will learn it over time, but it is a mess. But the watch is very configurable so you can at least hide features you don't use so you have a better chance of finding the ones you want (lets see, do I swipe up, down, left or right for that?). I find "Olympics Color" to be the best free watch face...no waste of space on decoration and shows pretty much all the measured variables. (3) No detailed users manual...anywhere; however, when I have a specific question about how to find a feature, I google it, and have always gotten a good answer, so maybe I don't need a manual. But that means there could be features I don't know to even ask for that are available and I will never know about them. Oh well, $75. UPDATE: To keep the "Always On Display" you can buy an AOD watch face, or built-in, you can make it stay on for 20 min at a time...go to Control Center on the watch and click the plus sign to add the option for "Keep Screen Lit"

Best value smartwatch
I've learned that with smart watches you always need to make a tradeoff. I like my smart watches to have fitness tracking, phone notifications, and LONG battery. Personally, battery is my main concern. I hate having to recharge a watch every day. This is the perfect smart watch I was looking for. It has enough battery so I don't have to worry about it too frequently (10 days on easy use, 6-7 for me personally as I work out with it two or three times a week and that consumes more battery). It has very good fitness tracking features, which is mostly what I was looking for. I've found the sleep tracking to be very accurate, even detecting those small midnight wake ups every now and then. Of course, since this is Zepp OS, it doesn't have too many apps and additional features to use, but that is also what helps the battery last so much. The Zepp App is a bit confusing at first, but once you get the hang of it, it has a lot of useful information, and it's a lot easier to see and set up the watch from it, then having to set it in the smaller watch face. I manage and set up most of the watch settings options from the smartphone app. If you are looking to respond to Whatsapps, use Google Maps, and use more complex apps in your smartphone, then this is not for you. Look for a Samsung one, but the trade off is the battery will be considerably shorter. If you are looking for a very long battery life and absolutely only fitness tracking, then you should look into a smart band, instead of a smart watch. If you are like me, and are looking for that ideal middle point at a budget friendly price, then this is what you are looking for. This is exactly what I wanted. Very happy with my purchase.

Eh, so-so but hate the 4 digit time display..
Amazfit bip 5...(9/2023).... So, I have only had this watch for a few days. I am not loving it. In fact probably going to return it. I absolutely hate, hate, hate the 4 digit time display (did I mention I hate the 4 digit time display)?. Even on the 12 hour time setting it always shows a 4 digit display. No matter what watch face you pick. If it is 7:15 in the evening (PM) the display definitely should not say 0715...ummmm, that is AM not PM. this is one of the absolute reasons why I hate this watch. The app takes some time to explore and learn. You have to really explore and maybe a few YouTube videos to figure out. It wants you to pay for some items/games/faces etc. I don't think I know anyone who would purchase the "offered items". The watch band....I have seen alot of negative reviews on it. I myself don't mind it overly much, even though it isn't the best. Very cheap. The hardest part is taking it off. The band (this is hard to describe) tucks under the band and against your wrist, there is no buckle like you would find on normal watch bands. I think it is going to eventually break and probably relatively soon, if I would keep this watch (which I am currently doubting) I would get a different band. I have not gotten it wet yet so I can't comment on the water resistant of it. Connectivity....ie Bluetooth... I still have to have my phone within 10 feet of the watch or I get nothing. My phone is less than 3 years old (as of 2023), so not entirely sold that my phone is outdated. Reconnecting takes a few minutes even after I am back within range of my phone. Reconnecting "Alexa" takes even longer. Very disappointing , all around. Music....advertising says play music on your wrist.....not so, you can only control music functions if your phone is playing music. Health data....I am undecided if this is any where accurate. So far it has yet to record my sleep data (even after a few nights of having it on), so I am not sure yet if I need to tell it I am going to sleep or not. I would think that would be automatic. The app as far as I can see doesn't let you change your sleep schedule parameters. It does have a do not disturb option that will allow you to choose the times. I have not used it yet. Over all, I would NOT recommend this watch, I am probably going to return it and save up for another Garmin watch, which is what I have used for over 10 years. But they are not cheap and don't last as long as a cheap $10 watch that only tells time. Maybe I will go back to that.

Recommended if you are looking for a basic smartwatch without a lot of pretensions
My experience with this smartwatch has been generally positive, especially in terms of quality and basic functionality. The construction of the device is solid and feels well made, which gives me confidence in its durability. The display is clear and easy to read, even in bright light conditions, and the interface is simple to use, making it easy to access key functions quickly. One of the aspects I value most is that it serves its primary purpose perfectly: to monitor my progress during workouts. I can easily record my steps, calories burned, session duration and some health parameters such as heart rate. In addition, basic functions such as call, message and reminder notifications also work well on most occasions. The watch offers everything one expects from such a device: activity tracking, sleep monitoring, alarms, and some music control functions, all in a compact size and comfortable to wear. However, I should mention that I have experienced a few drawbacks that affect the overall experience. The main issue is connectivity with the app on my phone. Frequently, the watch disconnects from the app and takes quite a bit of work to reconnect, which is frustrating and requires restarting both devices several times. This frequent disconnection limits the convenience of using it as a companion.

Gran compra y excelente producto.
Es muy bueno, totalmente recomendable para regalo o para uno mismo, ya que cumple muy bien, es un poco complicado entender bien como se conecta al celular, quizá un caso en especial con el mío, pero cumple perfectamente con lo que dice, es muy buen reloj.

Me encantó!
Venía bien empaquetado, sellado. Hasta ahorita no he tenido ningún problema. Se carga muy rápido, me llegan la notificaciones sin problema. Lo amo🫶🏻 muy sencillo de usar. Apenas tengo si acaso un mes con él. Pero 10/10

Surprisingly good! - But, oh, NOW NOT so good, now.
1st, it doesn't have the band strap loop/s that all other watches of this style do. It has a slot that you slide the band end into so that the band end isn't in your way! LOVE IT, ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS FEATURE! It was in the ad but I didn't notice it as I was more concerned with functions AND had never come across this style before so wasn't looking for it. No more fighting with nor having to replace the band loops to hold the end of the band strap. Although this watch is a bit bigger in surface area than my old Garmin (which is round), it seems smaller! I love being able to read the time without having to put on glasses. The functions are easy enough to find and customize if you take the time to explore it. It was easy to synchronize with a cell phone where you can further customize functions as well as see more detail of sleep patterns, etc. This watch has much more to offer than I need, and it also has 3 games on it!! I had hoped for a more conventional face style choice but I did find a few that were free that I liked, so NO stars taken away. All in all, an excellent watch for the price ($109 CAD + taxes). =========================================================================================== UPDATE: Literally 2 days past 1 yr. after receiving this watch, I went in the shallow end of a fresh water pool. It stopped working after 5 mins. A few hours later, still wearing it because it felt weird without it on my wrist, I looked for the time (out of habit) and lo and behold it was working again! The next day I went in the pool again with it, figuring it'll just work later on again if it stopped. It has NOT worked since. I've tried resetting to factory settings. The only thing that comes up is what looks like a QR code on the watch. I don't know how to scan QR codes as I don't have data on my phone. I tried just drying the watch exterior off and letting it sit, also tried leaving it in uncooked rice for a week and nothing helps. Disappointing as I bought this watch because it was supposed to be good for shallow water. Guess I'll have to get a new watch. :(
