Great instruction on the bottle for each step as stated in my heading. Rock polishing is fairly new to me and have not tried any other product. From what I've seen in results and read in other literature, this product works great and is highly recommended. Why fix what isn't broke? My only issue is the amount you get is great for the occasional hobbyist, but my boyfriend and I have 6 tumblers going continuously. Planning on adding more, larger capacity tumblers. 15lbs minimum for the 4 steps would be something we would go through quite quickly! I did email the company and they said I can order the 3lb box of the four steps or 6lb box of the four steps. 3lbs is 2 steps at 1lb(=2lbs) and.... 2 steps 1/2(=1lb)...totaling 3lbs. I would prefer 2 @ 5lbs and [email protected]= 15lb box. The price on the smaller quantities will add up to be a lot and quite quickly. I have spent 115 since on these steps and ceramic media since late august (3 months so far) and I just received my latest order and now need to place another. For us, since this is a large hobby, gifting and sales, it is a bit of hassle to be ordering constantly (they are not offering the subscribe and save plan) plus for a bulk buyer it would be nice to get a much larger amount for a better price. Don't get me wrong we are very happy with their product, just wishing it would fit our needs a little more. So we reluctantly will have to search for that. You will be happy with product, packaging, instructions, and delivery time, so feel confident in your purchase. You wont regret it!

Ours turned into a rock-shaped popsicle and completely seized up. Lesson learned: rock tumbling is not a winter sport unless you're doing it indoors with hot cocoa and a backup generator. To make things even funnier, when our parents came over, they heard the low rumbling from the garage and asked, “Why is your car running?” We had to explain, “It’s our rock tumbler.” They nodded slowly and still have no idea what that means. I'm pretty sure they think we’re up to something shady. That said, the grit and polish are excellent. Just keep it warm, keep your tumbler happy, and maybe warn visitors ahead of time that you’re not secretly building a spaceship in the garage.
