Excellent Silicone
This is hands down the best silicone I have ever used. I have been making silicone molds for epoxy/resin products for over 8 years. Over this timeframe, I have used both tin and platinum-based silicones from major manufacturers such as Smooth-On, Alumilite, and Specialty Resin & Chemical that were listed as “self-degassing” as well as those requiring a vacuum chamber to degas the silicone. The viscosity of this silicone makes mixing by hand extremely easy. My first mold I mixed the silicone by hand and did not use a vacuum chamber so I could determine how well it would degas on its own. This silicone performed the best degassing on its own out of all the brands I have used, but still had bubbles throughout the mold, but not on the surfaces. I do not believe there is any such thing as “bubble free” silicone without using a vacuum chamber. I have made about a dozen silicone molds with this product that ranged in size from 6 ounces of silicone to over 3 pounds of silicone for one mold. Every mold turned out exceptional. All the molds were cured properly and were ready to demold in about 4 hours. After my initial trial of not using a vacuum chamber, I have degassed every other project as I do not wany any bubbles in my silicone molds. If you measure out your ratios properly and mix thoroughly, you should have no issues at all with this silicone. There are a few things to keep in mind when using platinum-based silicone. UV 3D resin printed parts must be thoroughly sealed for platinum silicone to cure against the item. If fully sealing your object is an issue, consider using tin-based silicone as those do not exhibit the same issues with curing and are more forgiving with mixing ratios. Additionally, if the object you are casting in silicone is shiny, platinum-based silicones will render your cast product with a matte sheen. If you require a gloss sheen, you will need to use tin-based silicone. So far this is exceptional silicone and will be my first choice from now on. Only time will tell if these silicone molds will hold up with the same amount of use as my other molds made with silicone products from different companies. I am very pleased with this silicone.

Made A Good Mold Impression!
This performed very well for my project. The single kit was enough to fill a 13” area that had a grandson’s baby footprints on our concrete floor in our garage. Preparation is key to a successful job. I first vacuumed and washed the area with water and let it dry overnight. I then used a concrete sealer on the area and let it cure for 4 days. Then I traced a 13” circle around the area with a pencil where I wished to make a mold. I then made a dam around the traced circle with sulfur-free modeling clay, sprayed the area with a silicone release agent then mixed the silicone liquids together in a clean container (coffee can). I followed the instructions to slowly fill the area from one end to allow liquid to flow into all the impressions and waited 24 hours to slowly peel the cured mold away from the concrete. You may not have to wait that long but I didn’t want to take a chance that it wasn’t fully set up. It turned out perfectly! I had another child’s footprints to mold and repeated ALL the steps with an additional silicone kit at the same time. FYI- you will have to purchase the clay, sealer and release spray separately as it doesn’t come with the silicone kit.

50 pavers and still in good shape
I crafted a custom paver mold and have cast about 50 pavers in concrete. The silicone mold shows minor wear, specifically there seems to be some sand size pitting, I assume from the sand in the concrete mix. It's minimal, and not interfering with anything. Unless it outright tears, or some catastrophic issue, I would guess it has another 50 or so castings left. Maybe more. It definitely solved my challenge and I bought more for more custom pavers. I saw the AI disappointment on durability, and I guess that's application dependant, mold design sufficiency, and a good bit of expectations Overall concrete is a tough job, and I'm very satisfied with my silicone mold. Actually way more than satisfied, it's about as ideal as my amature self would have hoped for.

Easy to use, consistent results!
My box said “translucent clear”, and it cured as clear as silicone gets, so don’t think you got the wrong thing. This is foolproof pourable silicone, period. This is what “platinum cure” is supposed to be. It self-levels, it self-degasses, it’s great for people with no experience making molds and/or molding objects out of silicone. It’s not particularly sticky and it flows easily into intricate molds. The only price for it practically pouring itself is it takes some patience to wait for it to cure. 5-6 hours minimum. It’s worth it for an end result that looks this great. I got it to layer lighting gels to fabricate filters for small lights and it works great for layering. PROTIP: Don’t tear off the freshness seal, poke a small hole in it for squirt bottle precision. Mix your material by weight, on a scale. It’s much more precise and economical than measuring by volume.

Good quality but a bit pricey for the amount
The silicone mixes easily and pours smoothly with very few bubbles. It captures details well and works great for resin, jewelry, and small casting projects. The final molds feel strong and flexible. The only downside is that the amount feels a little small for the price. Overall, it performs well, but I wish it came with a bit more material for what you pay.

Great.
Having worked for a US manufacturer with a line of platinum silicones I love that this is inexpensive, easy to use, almost completely self degassing, and really, as long as you’re aware of potential incompatibilities you should have no problems with this. Sulfur like in some clays, certain vinyl gloves or materials, latex gloves or materials, some super glue or accelerators are the most widely encountered cure inhibitors that can partially to fully prevent platinum silicones from curing. Avoid those, and if you’re in doubt do a small test mix to save time, money, and cleaning up a mess. Temperature can be used to speed cure this material as well, hot conditions give less work time.

Cool Stuff
Made some molds with. It worked great, had some bubbles in it. I dont know how it compares with other kits but fine for a beginner.

Works okay-ish
While this silicone is great, I noticed some issues with the resin piece. As a mold maker, I have tried multiple brands and different types of silicone so I think I have a general basis on what it should and should not do. Mixing the two parts and making the molds were self explanatory and I had no trouble at all. My issue was the resin piece. I noticed that it would take at least 2 days for my resin piece to not be bendy. At first I thought it was user error but i used the same resin pour on a different mold. On my other mold, it cured perfectly fine within a few hours and was fully harden + not tacky. With this silicone mold, it took around 6 hours for it to be bendy but tacky. Around the 12 hour mark, that was when it was still bendy but not tacky. While I understand resin takes 1-3 days to cure, it shouldn’t be bendy even after 10+ hours. I did a little experiment and used 5 different resins/epoxys. I also went ahead and made a few more molds thinking that I didn’t mix the silicone long enough or maybe didn’t pour enough silicone in one of the parts. Unfortunately, I had the same results. Here are some brands that I used - MAS Table Top Epoxy (took at least 1.5 days to not be bendy and an additional day to fully harden) - Alumilite Amazing Clear Cast (same issue as MAS table top) - Alumilite Clear Slow (Cured within a day but was fragile and broke into pieces while sanding) - Alumilite Quick Coat (Cured but was fragile. Had to pour a layer of uv resin to make it harder) - Art Resin (Had the same issue as MAS Table top) In conclusion, this silicone does work and works great. You just have to wait a little longer so if you don’t have patience like me, I recommend smooth on products like mold star 15. Both mold star 15 and this silicone takes about 4-6 hours to cure (when making the mold). One of the differences between the two is that this silicone is really firm. If you need something less firm with more elasticity, I believe this brand has one! It should be either the mint colored or orange colored one!

Top! Einfache Verwendung, tolle Eigenschaften.
