I see some complaints that it isn't for who on the shorter side. Is it too big a chair for 5'3?

I am 5’8”, I would NOT recommend this chair for shorter people. It’s lowest height is what I have it set at, and it’s pretty ideal for me…

Is the seat rated for 8 hours?

I spend over 8 hours in this chair. I have had 2 lower back surgeries and this chair is the most comfortable one I have had.

does the seat tilt or is it stationary?

It tilts and lock but the mechanism is a bit strange. I'm unable to lock it totally vertical but can lock it in stages. The tilt IMO is a little bit too easy even with the spring tightened all the way.

will the chair fit a person over 6ft?

I am 5’6” and my feet just dangle off the edge of the foot rest but with all the other adjustments I think a 6’ person would fit fine in this chair.
