The packaging and content are 100% recyclable however Amazon in their stupidity ship it in plastic which defeats the purpose.

Does one put the strip in with the clothes themselves rather than in the detergent slot?

I have been using this detergent for over two years now and I have always placed it into the washer with the water while the washer is filling up. It takes a few minutes to fully disintegrate. I put my clothing in after this happens and they was just fine. I have never had any issues with the strip gunking up on my clothing and needing to rewash.

Is this product hypoallergenic? whenever i see "scented" i suspect not and that is deal breaker for me, as i use free and clear detergent at home.

Hi! I am allergic to pretty much everything that comes into my skin. I got so sick of using free and clear detergent but that was the only thing that could stop the contact determitis. On a whim, I decided to try these! I use half of the sheet (you’ll see they tear in half) have not have had a problem at all! Matter of fact i just bought it again and i LOVE the way it makes my clothes smell! I can’t tell you for sure if it won’t bother you but it does not bother this girl who is allergic to everything! good Luck!
