In Some Way Shape Or Form

Insane, Not as heavy as the others but insane!

Being a big fan of Four Year Strong, I was extatic for the coming of their latest album ''In Some Way, Shape, Or Form''. Then came the departure of sysnthesizer Josh Lyford, which worried me because I was unsure of what the band would be without the upbeat sound of a synth. And after listening to this album, it seems FYS have come into a new light. The lyrics are as creative as ever with a good mix of fun songs reflecting on life. Without a synth the band has pulled together to make a tighter album and especially the bassist I feel has stepped into the limelight, there's never a dull moment! So if you're a fan of previous FYS albums, it may take a few listens to get you there but eventually you'll be shown that this pop-punk band for the teens have indeed grown up.

Great record. Delivery was fast and arrived when it was meant too. This record as grown on me as it is not the same sound that FYS had on their first two records.

I cant reccommend this highly enough, yes its slightly poppier than their previous albums but to be honest, I prefer that. Every song on this album is brilliant, if I had to compare this albums sound to another band it would be a heavier lostprophets :)

i was very disappointed with this record. They seem to have dumped the energy pumped pop mosh punk feel, and really toned it down to a more rock sound. it kinda reminded me of the foo fighters in a way. its not rubbish, and if you class it as its own record and dont compare this to previous efforts by FYS, its an ok listen. enemy of the world was a fantastic record full of catchy infectious fun and this is just a step back in my opinion, or in their eyes maybe a step forward into more chart friendly territory

it's been a long time since i've bought an album that i've really enjoyed, they've all been quite mundane, but this one has rocked my socks!

ほんとにほんとに最高。4人になってからの初アルバム？かな？CD持ってなくてこちらもコレクションのために買いましたが、改めてまして最高です。キーボードのJosh Lyfordがいなくなっちゃって、おいおい、大丈夫か？！って思ってしまいました、、、が、全然大丈夫でした。（ジョシュごめん^^;）もちろんジョシュありきのFYSだったし大好きだけども！このアルバムからのFYSは至高中の至高ですわ。もうひたすらカッコいいの一言に尽きる。疾走感ある曲もいろいろ良かった。とにかくドッカーンと胸打たれたのはJust drive！完全にツボ。これ聞いたときの衝撃。これが私の人生の全て…って意味わかんないことを一瞬にして思ってしまったくらい美しい曲でございました。この辺にしときます。とにかく必聴アルバム間違い無し無しです！(☝︎ ՞ਊ ՞)☝︎

wird bei diesem Werk von Four Year Strong erreicht. Nimmt man die beiden, doch relativ ähnlichen, Vorgängeralben zum Vergleich muss man schon eine starke Weiterentwicklung verzeichnen. Das Wilde ist dem Durchdachten gewischen oder auf gut deutsch: Four Year Strong schaffen es endlich Ihre wilde Dynamik und Ihre genialen Ideen in kompakten Songs zu verpacken. Die beiden Vorgänger CDS waren rasanter PopPunk mit Hardcoreanleihen. Hierdurch sind Sie groß geworden und sehen es auch überhaupt nicht ein diese Mischung über Bord zu schmeissen. Lieber nimmt man das bisher bewährte, mischt es mit einem Schlag Foo Fighters, einer Priese Gelassenheit, einer Messerspitze Pop und einer starken Ladung stadiontauglichem Rock und siehe da: Die Kinderschuhe passen nicht mehr -> In Some Way, Shape, Or Form kommt raus. Klasse!!! Genug der Worte. Alle Fans ehrlicher Rockmusik können bedenkenlos zugreifen.
