Your best bet would be to use a ShortWave UV light, as it would show the green flouressence stronger. However, for portability this Long Wave UV should give you enough fluorescence from the trace uranium (3 to 27%) present in 1930 era glassware, providing very little ambient light is present during the test and the UV flashlight is healed near enough to the glass surface, you should see a faint enough green trace to the outside edge. A test with this light should be performed in various lighting conditions beforehand on several types of real vintage Vaseline so you'll know what to look for in seeking your treasures.
