What is inside the little bottle that sounds like a stone?

Machined Kryptonite. Or possibly cast unobtanium. Some people say it’s simply a ball bearing similar to what you’d find in spray paint cans to mix up the pigment better. But my money’s on the Kryptonite.

Will this make my dashboard matt black to reduce reflections?

No…..it will give a silk type sheen, not unpleasant, as long as it hasn’t congealed in the bottle…!

Can you use this on interior car plastic

I haven't used it yet but I bought it to use on interior plastic trim. Before buying it, I checked around on the internet and it came strongly recommended for that purpose, so that's what I intend to do.

Do you still get water staining where water runs down it in all the runoff spots. Every product I've tried has left streaking

Yes. Have a Saab 93S and the sill covers have still got white run stains from the doors. Common problem with Saab 93S. To be fair, it's nowhere near as bad. The application lasts weeks and does not really wash off with cleaning or weather. It's the best treatment I've used so far.
