We have used lots of these SharkBite couplers. They are so easy to install on existing pipe or new pex pipe. They have never leaked, are so quick to connect, and have saved us thousands of dollars to be able to repair older copper pipe and replace areas ourselves. No need to soldering needed, just cut, slip it on to connect and that is it. There are plenty of videos online giving detailed instructions. It will take you longer to watch the video and be sure of what to do than fixing a leak. We keep a few on hand just in case we get a leak so we can fix it right away. We live in an older house and it is a necessity. Also, SharkBite makes elbows, shut off valves, a full range of plumbing products. Highly recommend. It will up your DIY game. Hope this helps.

The easiest way to repair pipes!! I've done copper pipe repair using the soldering method, and while that's probably the more 'accepted' and 'professional' way to do it, sometimes you need a quick fix that you can rely on. These have never let me down in a pinch, and have held up longer than I expected, so if it works, I'm happy! Installation is a breeze, just make sure the pipe is clean. My recent installation was to remove some excess piping that was unnecessary (the previous owner wrapped 1/4" hot line around a basement wood stove - definitely not code). I cut out all the excess line and use a couple of these to connect up the ends. All of my pipe was coated with a fire retarding material due to the wood stove in the basement, so it had to be cleaned well. But once cleaned, these were easy to install and provided a leak free connection. I also removed sprinkler heads that had been installed for the wood stove as well (I removed the wood stove too - it was a home build one and wasn't safe). I've taken these off using an adjustable wrench to push in the decoupling piece and they come off pretty easily. You might have to use a bit of force because they do dig into the pipe, but I've never run into an issue removing one. You can also get the removal tool which works just as good as a nice adjustable wrench. These are great to keep around as extras too, just in case you have an emergency and need a quick fix. The fit on the pipe is always nice, and they're super easy to use as long as you properly prepare the copper pipe you're putting them on (deburr inside and outside and clean the outside of the pipe where the o-ring will seal). Overall, I love these and haven't had any issues with this batch or previous batches leaking, so I'd recommend them.

After struggling for months to connect a piece of flex pipe with regular couplers and hose clamps, and always having it leak again, this sharkbite connector is nothing short of AMAZING. Simply push the two sides of the pipe in and you’re done!! It really is THAT simple. Hasn’t leaked since. No more frustration and words my kids shouldn’t hear me say. I’ll never use anything else again.

Easy to use great stuff

Got this to keep on hand when the water line from the street to the house breaks. This is an updated coupling (I called Sharkbite) Also I was informed by SharkBite that if this coupling were to be used 'Underground" that the coupling would need to be wrapped with the SharkBite protective tape. This was for your protection. SharkBite also said to make sure you clean the pipes and insert as per website instructions. From what I can gather, from different sources; The Install procedures are not being followed properly. Everyone is in a hurry to put together and they damage the O-rings. This is really a superb versitle piece that should not be ignored. The value is in the product as long as you install properly.

I used these SharkBite fittings for a bathroom plumbing project. They worked great, were easy to replace, and did not allow any leaks. Most importantly, these fittings made my bathroom plumbing project so much faster, easier and less stressful than if I would have had to do soldering. Funciona bien, siempre y cuando las tuberías estén bien alineadas, horizontales y verticales, así como si es cobre, lijando bien el extremo ó si es algún tipo de cpvc limpiando. En mi caso, la tubería horizontal creo esta un poco colgada y tiene una leve fuga. Por otro lado es muy sencillo de instalar, solo es empujar y listo. Recomiendo que vean algunos videos de instalación en YouTube para que vean bien
