Also the mesh allows better airflow to allow heat dissipation, which is useful because I have a bunch of cables and transformers that give off heat sitting on this tray. It looks good (though ideally one wouldn't really see at all as it is under the desk). It's flexible enough that if you bump it, it doesn't break or come off.
