Good overall hat with finicky sizing for some
Very nice hat. I like the shape overall and that it is an elastic back. I usually keep the sides of my hair cut fairly short, and it grows out fast, so for me fitted hats tend to go from loose to tight to loose again. The elastic band solves that. However, for the negatives, the sizing is not good for my head, particularly since it comes in 2 sizes in one. When I first got one, I tried them on and a L/XL seemed a little loose, and I have a convertible. I was nervous to get it as I was afraid it would blow off. The S/M was a little snug, and I thought it would be ok. After purchasing, I found after wearing the hat for extended periods (like 15 minutes or more), it would give me a headache. I would end up pulling it up and letting it rest on top of my head. My hopes of it breaking in or stretching out faded. I ended up recently purchased the L/XL here at Amazon so maybe I can wear it longer. The other negative for me, I would say, is the material. It is polyester that looks and feels like wool. Polyester is a good material for durability, but I kinda like my hats to look worn. It doesn’t have any real give. If you want a hat that can take a beating and still look new, you will love the material. If you like a hat to look a little worn and conform to you a little bit, this one will not really do that.

Comfortable Hat
Nice Flex fit Hat. I am so glad they made a Yankee hat in Flex Fit instead of sized. The quality is really good. I ordered one S/M and one L/XL and they are both comfortable. I recommend this hat if you are looking for a hat without the plastic adjustment peice and something that isn't your perfect size in a sized hat and will stretch to you head size. My head size is 23"and the L/XL was perfect. My wife's head was 21 1/4 and the S/M was perfect.
