I melt this butter over a double boiler with a couple of other butters to make my body cream. It melts and whips like a dream. It does have a faint odor of something like coffee but it’s easily masked with essential oil or it will dissipate if you don’t want to use oils. It comes in a dense block that’s easy to cut off chunks if you don’t plan to use it all at once. Plus it is a great moisturizer. Definitely recommend.

Sometimes an emergency Amazon order turns out to be a blessing. I've been using Kokum butter in my body butter for 9 years. I was considering removing it from my recipe, then I got it from Etherva. Now I'm considering increasing the amount I add to my butter. This is absolutely the best most natural Kokum butter I've used. Glad I got the 11 lb box. Hope it's available when I need it again.

Before I bought this I had never heard of Kokum before, and now I’m wondering how hasn’t everyone. It’s double packaged and vacuum sealed to keep its quality in tact which I really liked. Was easy enough to cut through though it did crumble some which was even better in my opinion. Loved that it was cheaper than cocoa butter because in my view and my research cocoa butter is a bit overrated it’s more of a fragrance thing I guess. But using this in my lotions I’ve made so far, I’ve never felt such silky smoothness on my skin before, and it makes your whole body feel completely hydrated and rejuvenated will definitely be using this as a regular staple in all cosmetics and care supplies from now on.

Awesome butter. Smell was a bit pungent initially, but excellent product once used in body butter recipe.

Update: the seller did contact me and offer me a full refund given my dissatisfaction. Wish I had read reviews. I use Kokum butter to make a face cream I sell. My usual company was out of stock so I figured I'd try this. The smell is very strong. My other organic kokum butter doesn't have a scent at all. I tried making my cream anyway and everyone that smelled it said it smelled horrible like latex paint. I guess this would be fine if you don't mind that smell but I even tried adding essential oils and it overpowered the eo scents.

I can’t say enough about this butter first off it’s packaged and shipped with care and it is the highest quality and makes great body butter and is a great additive for hot processed soaps

This is really rock hard It smells of celery or grass but every research that I’ve done says that Kokum butter should not have a scent at all so I feel like I got a bad box and I did not open it right away so I’m not sure if I got rancid butter

This is a great product with pure Kokum butter. Kokum butter is an under discovered product that originates in India and the benefits are unknown to most. Heat it mildly and massage it into your skin for best results. It has managed to heal my dry cracked feet. Great for overall moisturizing as well. Since it is a pure organic natural product, there are zero allergies to any skin type. Can be safely used on the face as well. I don't buy over the counter or commercial moisturizers anymore, since this does the job better than any. This block is also quite a lot in quantity and will go on for almost 6-12 months depending on the usage. Excellent product to use as raw material to make your own home made moisturizer. I personally have also used it to make my own lip balm along with some essential oils. Overall, great product and value for money.

I love that this butter is unrefined and completely natural. It's perfect for the soles of feet, elbows and knees! I also like to mix this with other butters and oils to apply all over the body as it is so nourishing and full of goodness. I already see improvement on some stretch marks and my feet are the sofest they have been in years. Taking care of your body should be a number one priority, and this kokum butter allows you to nourish yourself naturally. The kokum butter is solid like a stone.. doesn’t melt at all ..How can one apply onto the skin??

It's a soft butter .u can melt it with rubbing in between your hands . it's very easy to use and the packaging is very good .i just applied it on my skin directly don't know how long it will stay bt it have a very thick texture after melting also so may b it will stay the whole day , hope for the best 🤞🏻
