Review: Great safe control of your dog! - I’ve been using Canny Collars for the last 20+ years for the Rottweiler breed. It was first recommended to me by John at Zepthedep rescue centre where I met my first adult rescue sister Rotties B+L. It’s the only collar I go to and trust to keep my dogs under control, from years of experience with the majestic loving creatures Rottweilers are. From Rottie pups to full-size rescue adult delinquents these collars give you control and command over your dog. The difference with these is how the tensioner around the muzzle works by moving the dogs head downwards and not up if the dog pulls. This prevents sudden unnatural upward neck pulls and is safer for their wellbeing compared to other similar style products made by other manufactures sold in high street pet-supply shops. It’s easy to get onto the dog and is exceptionally secure, giving ‘reduced’ mouth movement if the dog is pulling, preventing potential bitting yet will provide enough slack for general mouth opening (panting, eating and drinking and general licking) if not under any tension. This is not a muzzle so don’t think to use it as one. This is a general walking and training collar that works better than the original choke chain collars of the old days. If you have a really snappy bitey dog then fit this first and then a muzzle cage over, it will still work. Size guides on the box is accurate for the Rottweiler, so I would assume a good guide for other dog breeds. Nice to see packaging has gone up market with recyclable card as opposed to the previous plastic blister pack from years ago. Good instruction for those who are not familiar with the product. Picture of my boy (rescued adult after being perviously mistreat and re-homed twice before getting his forever home with me) supplied wearing his Canny Collar no.6, which I trained him with this collar and now takes general walks with it :) It’s a good price for the collar considering these things are tough, well made and do last many many years, I’ve only bought new due to growth if the dog and them becoming grubby over the years, keeping an old one spare when buying a replacement.
Review: Best anti pull collar you can buy safe and kind total control - I'm disabled and use an electric wheelchair i have a Belgium Sheppard and she wears a harness as trained to walk with the chair but on occasions will have a pull if a squirrel goes past and can pull hard I have added this to the walk and it's amazing I have used them in the past with great success with my jack Russell and it worked on him brilliantly. It's not hard to fit on the dog and is secure in place if she wants to pull it over her nose she can but that's when we have stopped talking on our walks but once rolling again I have total control of her head and it's easy to just slip it back over her nose my dog is trained to walk with the wheelchair she still has her harness on so when she is on her extension lead I just clip the canny collar around her neck and she is free to have a mooch around then it's back on her walking lead next to the wheelchair with her canny collar on its given me a lot more confidence and control and it's a gentle way of working your dog very happy and totally recommend it. I have tried the Julius K9 harness the stop pull halti harness but none have work for that extra control and the halti head collar can cause neck injury as it pulls your dog's head to the side all the time but this head collar just pulls her nose down to her chest to deter her from pulling keeping her head and neck in line so no chance of injury to you dog a vet recommend them to me years ago my jack Russell is 18 years old and it helped him as a pup to stop pulling as he is a typical jack Russ a bit stubborn to train but it worked he walks great now and so does my Belgium Sheppard especially when squirrels are around it.

**Q: What are the dimensions for this product**
A: THERE ARE ONLY SIZES 1 TO 7 THERE IS NO SUCH SIZE AS XL OR L
SO ONLY BUY FROM THE NUMBERED SIZES AS AMAZON HAVE BEEN ASKED OVER AND OVER AGAIN TO REMOVE THE NON EXISTENT SIZES AND STILL HAVE NOT.
SO MEASURE YOUR DOGS NECK IN THE CORRECT PLACE AS SHOWN IN THE LISTING AND THEN BUY FROM THE CORRECT NUMBERED SIZES.

**Q: Can you use a muzzle with this. Our dog is a rescue dog and doesn't like mens trousers!**
A: I haven't used a muzzle so am unsure of how they attach.  I guess it would depend on where the muzzle fits to?  The picture shows quite well where the nose strap sits on the canny collar but the muzzle fixing may interfere with the canny collar and how it works.  The Canny Collar has it's own buckle style collar that you fit on your dog like a normal collar and the nose strap runs along this collar through guides.  So it may just be ok.  Not sure if that helps?

**Q: ve a bull mastif who is v good 1 min then takes off like a drag racer the next at 60 odd kilos he is v hard to stop is this product any good for him**
A: Hi I bought one for my GSD. I take her training classes as well as using the canny collar. Before i got the canny collar i used to hate walking her in public (she was born in a animal sanctuary and was there for 5 months and now has learnt behaviour of barking and lunging forwards at other dogs). With the canny collar I have far more control over her. I wouldnt be without it now. At first they hate it and they will try and get the loop off , you both have to get used to using it. My daughter is only tiny and works at a animal sanctuary, she uses it on all of the big dogs and thinks its brilliant. She has seen people using canny collars in strange ways and fitted to dogs in strange positions. So follow the instructions, watch the dog  to make sure its not getting the nose loop off and try it for a few months. Yes the nose loop can come off but they are still attached to the lead , just put the nose loop back on its easy enough, much better than the dog dragging you along.Hope you buy one and it works.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for dogs that pull

Having tried every no tug harness/lead/Halti I found the Canny Collar and purchased a size 3 based on the information and sizing for a Toy Sproodle, but as you can see, this was far too big and my dog was able to chew through the lead. Unlike others, this doesn’t pull my dogs face to one side or pull at his eyes which makes for a much better walking experience. Having ordered the smaller size which it is recommended that he’s too large for, the collar works much better. The nose strap is thinner and the collar also so he is more comfortable and less dragging his nose on the floor. The size 3 collar is bulkier and my dog reacts more negatively to it when walking. The size 2 has the thinner nose strap and he is able to open his mouth fully. It is extremely easy to use and very hard wearing. My dogs are in the sea daily and it hasn’t started to damage in anyway. I have also put it through the wash a few times. It’s value for money and I would recommend.
