The string works great, but trying to pour the blue chalk in the string while nailed tight to a wall in nearly impossible, then when you finally manage to get the chalk to sit on top of string, the chalk just vibrates off when you nail your trim, pictures, mirrors, ect..on the wall. I find a sudden compartmentment in the string holder to store your chalk but it isn't seperated from the string so it ruined/covered the entire string. **Seriously people, it's a straight line string chalk tool. I don't know how to review it other than: "Works as intended, makes a blue straight line on material for cutting, placing hung objects, or linning out grids.."

So far, so good. For some reason, I kept putting off getting a chalk line because I didn’t think I really needed one, but I’m glad I finally did. This chalk line has come in handy, allowing me to make straighter cuts with my circular saw, especially the long cuts. It’s really nice to have a solid, straight line all the way across whatever you’re cutting. The chalk bottle did come about halfway full, but I didn’t mind since chalk is relatively cheap to buy. The tip stuck nicely to the plywood I was cutting, and I experienced zero problems while using it.

Doesn't work as well as I wanted. It takes a lot of chalk to get it loaded. It's awkward to pull because the handle gets blocked by your hand unless you hold it just right. It does not pull very smoothly but it does wind back up manually pretty well. It doesn't snap very strongly to get a good line. The goal is a straight line and with 2 people , you can likely get that.

If you need a chalk line you can't go wrong with this one.
