I couldn’t find a lens hood that said it was specifically for a FZ72, nor could I find what size lens is fitted to the FZ72 or where exactly I should measure the lens to determine its size. However, I did find a helpful comment on a review forum from Bob(Ma.USA) and he said he has got several FZ cameras and puts a step up ring to 67mm on the lens and then puts a 67 mm rubber Wide Angle hood for wide shots and a 67 mm “tulip” hood for normal to telephoto shots. I thought this would be worth trying and purchased the three items needed from Amazon. These were (1) a set of 49-77mm lens filter step up rings, price £5.99, (2) a Phot-R 67mm 3 stage rubber lens hood, price £2.95 and (3) a Polaroid tulip lens hood 67mm, price £4.99.I found the 55 to 58 step up ring screwed directly into the lens of the FZ72 and into this I screwed the 58 to 62 and then the 62 to 67 step up rings. So now I can fit which ever of the two hoods is most appropriate for the ambient conditions.With hindsight, I now realise I could have purchased 55mm hoods and attached these directly to the FZ72 lens and avoided the need for step up rings. How much difference there is in the effectiveness between a 55 and 67 mm hood, I don’t know. Possibly, the extra depth of the hood that results from the insertion of the 3 step up rings, might enhance the shading provided by the hood.When the lens is fully retracted, i.e. when the camera is initially switched on (wide angle) the hoods clip the corners of the image. Just a tiny bit of zoom eliminates this clipping.I admit to not having taken any photographs or videos yet with the hoods, this review was posted on the day the items arrived. I’m just very pleased to have found a method of attaching hoods to my FZ72. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good product if used appropriately: Suitable for standard to telephoto lenses, but not wide-angle. *by J***. on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 11 July 2017* Does what it does well.Best for standard to moderate-telephoto lenses: say 50-100mm full-frame equivalent.Unlikely to be suitable for wide-angle lenses due to hard vignetting, even when fully collapsed, due to deep mounting ring.For long telephoto lenses, it will work, but is too short to be optimal.For 30-50mm FF equivalent, might work, might not, depending on detailed lens design: is the filter ring oversize; where is the entrance pupil ?For zoom lenses, may work at wider angles if partially collapsed.52mm hood works perfectly for me on Nikon 50mm f/1.4D [75mm FF equivalent] on Nikon D7200, with absolutely no vignetting.The rubber hood can be detached from the metal mounting ring. If you don't like that, you could superglue them together. ### ⭐⭐ A bit too flimsy for everyday use... *by A***8 on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 December 2018* Nicely packed and obviously a good price.
