The side leg pockets have flaps but the back pockets are open.

How much do these shrink after being washed a few time?

I Wash in Cold water. Now if I want to Shrink them I wash in Warm Water. If you wash in Warm or Hot Water they will get much smaller. Also I dry on Low.

Where is the opening for knee pads?? Don't have any openings as advertised!

None of my pants have an opening for Knee Pads. The only Carrharts I have with that are my work Over Alls.
