Great value!
I usually don't leave reviews unless a product truly stands out, especially when there are numerous alternatives that overpromise and underdeliver. Here's what I appreciate about this product: It offers great value. The connection to Android Auto is impressively fast, taking just 10 seconds at most. The touch sensitivity is excellent. The screen is semi-matte, preventing distracting reflections. The menu system is simple, easy to use, and understand. It seamlessly connects to my existing FM stereo via the built-in FM transmitter. The supplied mounting brackets are of good quality. The unit is low profile (approximately 20mm) and features a 4-hole click-in universal mounting type, compatible with various mounts. The video player is fantastic, playing any file type without issues. As for cons, I honestly can't find any. I installed this in my 2007 Astra van, placing it in front of the old radio display, which is now unnecessary as I use TuneIn on Android Auto for my radio needs.

Easy to set up
Excellent well made device. Easy to set up & brings my 20year old BMW M3 up to date. Just need to install a Direct aux link to my sound system & this device takes care of satnav, music & phone with no hassle. Very happy

Great price and great kit.
I spent some time searching for one of these to update my car system. Comes with various mounts, it fits snuggle in the spot here. Love that it’s Bluetooth and cabled for audio. Instructions are not the best. Remember to select your audio output or you get a horrific noise! I thought it was broken until I realised it was looking for a different audio connections. I’m using a aux cable. Switched it to aux and the noise stopped. Touch screen is great, clear and easy to see, day and night. So far so good.

Works very well!
This came well presented in its own box so it would make a great gift for the right person. This is a compatible car stereo with apple car play and android auto. Theres a 7 inch screen thats Touchscreen, the touch works smoothly and is very easy to use. The sound is good too as long as you have some decent speakers, great bass. My husband told me as he was the one that installed it that all was relatively easy to set up, he really likes it and thinks its brilliant! We are using android phone with it that works fine. Its exactly as described in the description, no issues as of yet. The quality and durability seem really good. Its so much better than a basic car stereo, so much better all round and we are very happy with it. Can highly reccomend.

Absolute rubbish
These things are generic rubbish and simply don’t work. Sent two back now! Don’t waste your money.

Seems good - automatic night dimming etc. doesn't work on Android Auto
I've just collected this and installed it. It seems to work well. I have used cars with factory installed Android Auto before and it seems indistinguishable from that. I haven't tried the Carplay functionality but I imagine it will be just as good. I bought mine in July 2023 and it had the April 2023 firmware already installed - which at the moment is the latest version. This already allows for Bluetooth music playing via Android Auto - So you can probably ignore the note about needing to update the firmware to gain this functionality. There are two minor things I would like to see changed: firstly it has a start up chime which I can't seem to turn off. (Edit: you can reduce the volume of this by adjusting the built-in speaker volume). Secondly, it would be really nice to have automatic brightness based on a light sensor. But at this price I will forgive that. It has a menu setting for adjusting the brightness based on start and stop times but apparently this only works with Carplay or Android cast - At least according to the instruction manual and notes on the screen. Hopefully a firmware update will allow that to work also with Android Auto. Given that it knows the time (and location?) from your phone, it would be even better if it could just do sunrise and sunset based changes automatically. EDIT: Confirmed that the time-based auto dimming does not work with Android Auto. Also, the maps stay in day mode all the time - seems quite a common bug with these devices. It can be switched to night/dark mode manually through the settings icon in the Android Auto UI (or on the phone) but it still seems an unnecessary pain to have to do that. The device also does not honour the Android Auto developer option "phone controls night/day setting". So you're stuck with an overly bright map at night unless you switch it manually. It seems bright enough for daytime on maximum brightness - it is a bright sunny day at the moment. I have it fixed to the windscreen and it is resting on the dashtop. It may need some blue tack or something similar just to finalise that arrangement. This is reversible and doesn't require me to use the sticky pad that has been supplied. So far, so good. I will update as I gain more experience with it. The device turns on and off with power so if you have a cigarette lighter socket or similar that is ignition switched then you don't need to worry about the power switch on the device as it will simply start with the car. Having retrofitted Android Auto and Apple Carplay before, this looks like a really great solution, which doesn't involve ripping apart the dash and actually looks quite nice. EDIT: To get auto connect to work nicely, you need to leave the settings at "Default (set by car)" for Start Android Auto automatically. EDIT: Occasionally the bluetooth media does not work correctly and audio comes out of phone speakers instead. This seems go be a timing issue - what device connects first. My car already has two separate bluetooth connections: one for handsfree phone and one for media audio - so maybe is a bit complicated. Just downgraded to three stars as a recent update has stopped the Bluetooth audio working on Android. Selecting this causes Android Auto to disconnect and reconnect roughly every 10 seconds rendering the device unusable. Have raised a support ticket to see if there is a fix but have received no reply. The audio quality is nothing like as good on Aux or FM and it stops the steering wheel controls working. There are cheaper devices for sale without the Bluetooth functionality.

Very good
This CarPlay screen is excellent. It’s very easy to install in your car as it has a dash mount as well as a windscreen mount. It can connect to your car Audi system via AUX cable so all the sounds will come from your car system. Connection to your phone is very simple via Bluetooth and once paired it will connect every time you get in the car. I have this installed sitting on my dash via the sticky pad and it’s the perfect angle for me. The screen is absolutely brilliant being nice and clear and responsive making navigating around the menu every simple. Overall this is a great system that is easy to use and very good quality for money.

CarPlay enhances the driving experience by integrating your iPhone with your car's infotainment system. It offers a user-friendly interface that prioritizes navigation, communication, and entertainment. **Features:** 1. **Navigation:** - CarPlay supports Apple Maps, Google Maps, and Waze, providing real-time traffic updates and turn-by-turn directions. - The interface is clear and easy to read, with large icons and voice prompts that minimize distractions. 2. **Communication:** - Users can make and receive calls, send and read messages through Siri, allowing for hands-free operation. - Integration with apps like WhatsApp and other messaging services is seamless, enhancing connectivity while driving. 3. **Entertainment:** - CarPlay supports various audio apps, including Spotify, Apple Music, and podcasts. - The ability to control music and podcasts through voice commands is a significant plus, maintaining focus on the road. **Usability:** - **Interface:** The interface is intuitive, resembling the iOS design. It’s easy to navigate through apps using a touch screen or Siri. - **Voice Control:** Siri’s functionality is robust, enabling users to perform tasks without needing to look at the screen. - **Customization:** Users can rearrange app icons and choose which apps to display, tailoring the experience to personal preferences. **Performance:** - **Responsiveness:** CarPlay is generally fast and responsive, though performance can vary depending on the car’s hardware. - **Connection:** Both wired and wireless options are available, with wireless CarPlay providing added convenience without clutter. **Compatibility:** - CarPlay is available in a wide range of vehicles, but not all models support the latest features. It’s essential to check compatibility before purchasing. **Conclusion:** CarPlay significantly improves in-car technology by providing a safe and efficient way to access smartphone features. I have a 2019 Dodge Promaster van. It has a radio that allows Bluetooth pairing with my phone and I can make and answer calls through it, but it doesn't have a satellite radio option and doesn't support Waze or Google maps. I looked around for a simple screen-mirroring device that I could use with my Google Pixel phone and came upon the Spedal CL 786. It has a 7" screen, which is large enough and is a simple unit that doesn't possess a front-facing camera (I wouldn't want such a feature anyway). It connected with my phone very easily and I can use Waze or Google maps while simultaneously listening to satellite radio or making a receiving calls, with no connecting cable between my phone and the unit (which is something my more sophisticated Honda Accord radio unit can't do as it needs to connect with my phone via a cable in order for Android Auto features to work). The unit can be also connected via radio or by a 3.5mm cord which comes with the unit, but I don't need those features. The included power charger also has at its end a USB charging port for your phone, so you can run and power your phone and the unit from one "cigarette lighter"-type port. The only negative to the unit is the suction-cup attachment that come with it. It's not the best at gripping the dashboard, but as you can see from the video, I've set it up such that the front of the Spedal is resting on the dashboard, so it now stays in place. Also, as you can see from the video, I'm using the Waze driving app while listening to satellite radio, so, up to this point, the unit has pleased me. I've only been using the unit since July 15, 2024, and my current opinion may change as time goes by, but for now, its an easy-to-use device that does exactly what I want it to do. If you're in the market for a unit like this, I'd certainly recommend this one.

I've been really pleased with this unit. I have Android auto in my personal car, but my work van does not so I thought I would give this a try. So far it has worked really well. It was easy to install and setup. I did see some reviews say that the screen is not that bright, but I disagree, if you adjust it it gets very bright. Next the sound out of the speaker is not the loudest when your driving, but it does come with an auxiliary cable which you can connect to your car and will give you sound through your speakers. It connects through the Bluetooth on your phone and the connection has been really stable. I've only had a time or 2 where the screen locked up on me, but I was able to restart the device and it worked properly. Maps show up beautifully on the screen and I feel for the price this is a very good value to add to your vehicle if you want the Android auto or Carplay function to your automobile.

I had Carpuride and it struggled to work in my car. Then it just stopped working. I was really surprise by its failure. I bought this one with low expectations. Right from the start it worked just like it said it would. My only problem is I still can not get the mirror function to work. I’m assuming it’s me. Another issue is how to keep it in place. The Carpuride was difficult to stay in place. I tried all the different stick on devices and they all failed. The resolution was to make something up with magnets and VELCRO. The new one same problem but it’s lighter and smaller allowing me to place it in a more suitable location. The weight of the monitor is supported by the dashboard or it’s light enough I can place it on a rotating magnet. My son has CarPlay built in and it’s a luxury but my portable monitor is a great substitute for the real thing. I give it two thumbs up for ease of use, reliability and price. Once I figure out the mirror function it will be the best item I’ve ever bought for a car.

I did what it needed to do, finally died two days ago but I suppose I did get my money's worth. I will say towards the end it glitches alot but overall it was good for about a year. Super easy to install, it sounded good but people did have some issues hearing me over the phone. Brightness is not automatic so you do need to change it for day/night drives. Touch screen is responsive, but I did have trouble with the bottom left corner sometimes.
