Active Aqua Submersible Water Pump, 370 GPH

bought one of these for a hydro garden project - worked great out of the box, easy setup, great flow as advertised! Had an issue after a few weeks of service, took it apart and the impeller had failed and broken ( appeared to be a manufacture defect in the impeller not an actual fault in the overall pump or design. Filled out a support ticket and not only a fast response, but a solution to my issue was shipped out and arrived in days! thanks so much Hydrofarm for standing behind your product. Ordered another pump as a back/ready for my next project!

I bought this pump for a DIY cold plunge. It's really quite and does the job. It runs 24/7 and after a few weeks no issues.

Overall, there are very few pumps that have a pre-filter and have a 3 prong plug. So the pump seems to be working well - but it is missing one important thing - a 5/8” (or .63) output adapter. They do include a 1/2" and 3/4" and even includes ones that have an aeration connection - but for some weird reason, they don't include a 5/8" size like many of the pumps in the 400GPH range. The 1/2" really restricts the water output in my fountain. They really need to add the 5/8". Checked with Customer Service and they confirmed they don't have or offer a 5/8" adapter for this pump.

I used this product for my aquaponics garden. At first I was very satisfied with the performace, quiet, efficient, and lots of pressure. It was performing at or better than what it was rated for. However, within a few weeks that all started to change. The pump became much louder, to the point where it would disturb my sleep. It was also struggling to maintain the pressure that it had before. This problem in pressure lead to floods in my garden which ultimately lead to this pump self-destructing. Very frustrating!

This is the exact replacement size compared to the original Italian made pump that came with our Tower Gardens. The pump has plenty of lift and enough flow for the Water, acts as an exact replacement and is about the same noise level as the original pump. Also it’s cheaper than buying it from Tower Garden/True Garden.

Worked for about a month. Right after my 30 days was up for a return it stopped working.

Oh, yeah...this pump has worked out great! Real powerful at full blast, but manageable with the dial. Been using it for well over a year. I researched water pumps online and went with this one. I'v cleaned my water fdeature several times, this pump has survived. It's only noisy if it's up against something and vibrating, not the pumps fault.

Worked for 10 seconds then dead this is not a good pump for inline use.

Bought this to help me do water changes on my 65 gal tank. I got some 3/4 inch pond hose, heated the end of the hose, stuck it on and off I went. This pump has no trouble pushing water the 30 foot hose length. Good flow, matter of fact the washbasin water supply couldn't keep up so I used a voltage regulator to slow down the pump. It runs silent. I can't find any negatives about this pump.

Worked well for about 2 weeks where it was nice and quiet. Within 2 weeks its already rattling like crazy. Maybe good for outdoor pond/waterfall but not indoor hydroponics like advertised. I thought I would try this brand as it seemed to be a better build than the other generic stuff, guess it isnt. Update 08/03. Pump has failed, and is not able to lift water to my hydro setup which it has been capable of doing for months. lasted 8 months.
