I hate all the elbow monitor desk mounts on the market. They tear up wooden desks and are hard to perfectly center. All the adjustments just mean more things to change to get it perfectly level how you want it and they're also a paid to set up. This was pretty darn easy. I had my doubts at first, but it's US made. Luckily I had a stud perfectly center to my desk so I didn't even need anchors. Carefully level and secure Two screw through the first piece. Then attach the monitor to the other section. Then you simply set it on the other mount. I have a 32" 4k display. At first I didn't know the wall mount had any adjustment but the weight caused the monitor to droop down all the way. I had to tighten the Allen adjustment bolt to tighten it up. It's quite nice, it gives you a touch of tilt up down and side to side. So if you didn't 100% perfectly mount it level to the wall, there's some wiggle room for you to get your monitor perfectly level. I like it quite a bit. Sturdy. Just know there is zero height adjustment. I'd recommend setting your factory stand to the height you want. Then do the math and mark where you need to mount the wall mount.

This mount is very expensive compared to the cheapo $10-15 Chinese competition, but it's both Made in USA and extremely beefy. The photo doesn't really do justice to how sturdy the construction is. There are two other versions with longer extensions, priced considerably higher. You can order the extensions from Ergotech to add to this short one, but as expected they are like buying add on accessories for your car - in fact one arm is as much as this entire assembly. So if you want more flexibility, order the right one to begin with. One question that I couldn't find the answer prior to receiving the mount was whether it included screws to mount the vesa plate to the back of the monitor. Answer is yes, there are 4 M4x12 screws included, which is the most common size required. There are no screws included for mounting the assembly to the wall. I considered this the choice to make, even though more expensive, to ensure my large, heavy monitor will not be damaged in the future by a poorly constructed mount.
