Civivi=excellence
Incredible for the price. And when I say for the price, I don’t mean there exceptions for it being cheap. It’s freakin nice. I’ve owned benchmade, microtech, spyderco, tons of great brands and they are good for sure, but dollar for dollar this thing holds up in build quality and beauty to even those expensive brands. Don’t even get me started on the sharpness out of the box, my god it’s sharp as hell. I carry a pocket knife really “just in case” so I don’t really use it every single day, meaning I really don’t need a super steel found on more expensive knives so D2 is just fine in my book. I am also a FedEx delivery driver, and cannot carry anything big so I could get in trouble, this is just the perfect size so I can carry it to work. If you’re in my boat this is definitely the knife for you. I plan on buying more for my friends, and still won’t spend what you spend on the expensive brands. A++

Excellent initial impression.
Sweet. Very nice ergonomics. It flips open very easily and it appears to be well made. I wear a large glove and this knife feels very good in my hand, despite its compact size, especially, if I use the choil cut into the blade. I bought this knife as a novelty. Whenever I look on Amazon for Firebird Ganzo and Spyderco knives, I would see knives from Civivi. This knife in particular has always appealed to me, so I finally broke down and ordered one in black. The last thing I needed was another pocket knife. But after receiving this knife, handling it, and giving it a couple drops of good knife oil, I have immediately ordered another one in green. This knife is not going to replace my Spyderco dragonfly 2 as my favorite EDC knife, but I am positive, at times I will carry it. One of the reasons I delayed purchasing one of these knives is that I hate liner locks. The idea of a lock that puts your finger in the path of the blade when you start to close it has never seemed very smart to me. However, this one works so well, that I actually like it on this knife. That is saying a lot for me about how impressed I am with this knife, particularly since it is so sharp, I used it to slice up the receipt from my dinner right out of the box. Even as I sit here doing this review, I can’t stop fidgeting with this knife. It is so sweet, I guess I’ll just have to be careful and enjoy this knife the way it is. I saw some of the other reviews where some people had problems with corrosion on the blades of this knives D2 steel. Thanks to these reviews, I’ve already put a thin coat of quality gun oil on its blade and moving parts. Time will tell how corrosion resistant and durable this knife proves to be. Thanks a lot Civivi! Now it looks like I’m going to have to spring for one of the other Civivi knives I have been admiring (Mini Elementium Flipper). Hopefully, I’ll have the self discipline to wait until next month.

Incredible Knife — Feels Like a $200 Blade
The CIVIVI Mini Praxis Damascus Folding Knife is absolutely outstanding for the price. The Damascus blade is beautiful and razor sharp right out of the box, with excellent edge retention and smooth deployment. It honestly feels like something that should cost way more than it does. The Guibourtia wood handle adds a premium look and feel, with great ergonomics and solid grip despite the compact size. It disappears in the pocket but still feels substantial and confident in hand, making it perfect for everyday carry, camping, or hiking. Fit and finish are top-notch—tight tolerances, smooth action, and zero blade play. CIVIVI really knocked it out of the park with this one. Overall, this knife delivers true high-end quality at a budget-friendly price. Easily feels like a $200 knife. If you’re on the fence, don’t be—this is a fantastic EDC.

Great knife and amazing quality - poor clip design
The knife is amazingly sharp and very nice in the hand and is amazing quality for the price point. My only gripe is the pocket clip placement on the knife. I like to carry in my left pocket with my keys and because of the side design of the knife, it often and very easily opens in my pocket giving me some really deep cuts that needed superglued when I reach for my keys. Again fantastic knife! I want to leave a fair warning for others that wish to carry in their left pocket.

Proof That Extremely Good Knives Can Come In Small Sizes
I buy a lot of knives. A LOT!!! I have been impressed with other CIVIVI products but the Mini Praxis is a whole new level!!! This one has become my favorite compact superpower knife! First - the edge. This thing is ridiculously sharp. I trimmed off a loose thread on my shirt and the thread genuinely seemed to apologize on its way to the floor. If you need surgical precision for whatever you are cutting or just want to be amazed by a factory sharpened blade that leaves you in wonder, this is the knife for you. Second - the grip is phenomenal. It has a tactical, non-slip feel like a firm, comforting handshake from a friend you can always rely on. It feels perfectly balanced even when you know you are attempting tasks well above your actual skill level. Finally - the ease of operation is what sells it. The deployment is buttery smooth—a satisfying click and movement that makes you feel like an action movie star (but without the need to deliver a mandatory dramatic monologue). You can flip it open faster than your landlord can raise the rent. This knife is now my permanent EDC going wherever I go. If you need a reliable, absurdly sharp, and impressive looking knife that makes you feel instantly more competent, I would encourage you to stop messing around and add this knife to your collection immediately. You'll be 100% happy with it!!!

Another high-quality knife from Civivi
I actually gave this knife as an Xmas gift, but I had a chance to play with it before giving it away, and like every Civivi I've ever handled--I own a few--it's excellent: solid construction, smooth deployment, good lock up throwing at about 40% out of the box, a nice deep-carry clip with sunk screws, and a blade grind you could set your watch by. The ultem scales have a warm feel like G10 but are much lighter, which helps keep this knife quite lightweight overall. I think ultem might get a little more hype than it deserves, but it's certainly a good choice for knife scales, as long as you are okay with the color. I just didn't want to pay a premium for ultem scales, but in usual Civivi fashion, the $39 price tag on the Mini Praxis seemed extremely reasonable. I haven't had a chance to check back with the new owner of this knife to hear how the D2 blade was holding its edge, but if it performs like the D2 on my Elementum, then it's doing just as well as any other D2 from any other reputable knife maker. The quality of the D2 blade steel was actually a concern I had before I bought my first Civivi, because D2 a very old formula that no single steel maker holds a patent on anymore, which means any old fly-by-night foundry can crap out ingots with terible heat treatment and stamp "D2" on them. And if anyone has ever bought a cheap, no name knife off Amazon--probably made in the same large East Asian country in which Civivis are made--then one has probably had the unpleasant experience of using a sub-par "D2" blade. However, this is not an issue with Civivi knives, despite the reputation of cutlery made in their country of origin, because Civivi is a reputable brand that makes excellent knives, and they are arguably the best value on the market today. I would unreservedly recommend all of Civivi knives I've handled, including this Mini Praxis. Properly forged D2 blade steel, ultem scales, caged bearings, and excellent overall construction for $39 is hard to beat. Give one as a gift, especially to someone who knows knives--they'll be impressed, and you don't have to tell them you spent less than 50 bucks.

Out-friggin-standing knife!!
Wow. Just wow. I needed a slim, lightweight edc blade so I did the research and landed on this beautiful piece of craftsmanship. It is everything they claim and more. Nothing more than a blade and a clip but it handles well for being so small and it just feels like a bigger, more expensive blade whilst wielding. How they made this gorgeous and super-light thing of beauty feel like a full-sized blade is some sort of magic--but I'm a fan of the wizards at CIVIVI for life now. Fantastic blade....and for under forty bones too!! I had to buy another for my daughter and I'm sure I'll give it to her someday. Maybe. Probably. Maybe. *pics for proof of size (I have tiny hands and it STILL fits in my palm 🤣)

Ideal
Cachas.
