I bought this for a single job to install recessed lighting in a tongue and groove pine ceiling, not expecting it to last beyond the job. Boy was I surprised at the quality of it and the price. I cut 12 holes in 3/4" tongue and groove pine and it had 0 issues and still sharp as can be!

I've used a few hole saws before and have been frustrated at how hard it is to get through materials. I've never used one over 4 inches in diameter and was expecting this to struggle getting through the smart siding and OSB sheathing of our house exterior. It tore our house a new one in seconds. It was effortless. I may never have to use it again but it was half the cost of getting one even at harbor freight.

Personally I don't have to cut a 4" hole very often but when I do I don't want a hack job with a scroll saw. This cut a perfect 4" hole for my dryer vent. I put a washer/dryer in a new shed for my tenants. The shed wall was just 1/2" plywood so not a difficult material to cut through. This saw did it with ease. I cut half way through from the inside then went outside, placed the pilot bit in the center pilot hole showing through and finished the cut from the outside. Super clean result on both sides. For the price I wasn't expecting much but am well pleased with the durability of this hole cutter. If I were a pro and cutting holes often, I'd probably need a more expensive option but I'm not. The hole cutter is well balanced and if used properly cuts a perfect hole for a dryer vent. I would purchase again and recommend to anyone that needs one or more 4" holes over a period of time. Heck, for the price even if this one hole is all I ever cut with it, it was worth the purchase. Better than looking at a wobbly hole for years because I did it with the wrong tool for the job.

This hole saw worked great for what I needed. I used it to cut a clean 6-inch hole through the wall of my house to run the vent for my AC, and it handled the job without any problems. It cut smoothly and didn’t bind up like some cheaper hole saws I’ve used before. The arbor held everything securely and the teeth stayed sharp throughout the cut. It worked well on the materials I needed to go through and made the installation much easier than trying to piece the hole together with other tools. If you need to cut a large, clean hole in wood, plastic, or similar materials for things like vents or AC installs, this one does the job well. Definitely happy with it.
