Laufey - Everything I Know About Love / Laufey is a Los Angeles-based singer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist whose transportative jazz songs about young love and self-discovery are filled with wonder and wanderlust. I could listen to it for the rest of my life and still find new layers, moods, and magic in every track. It’s that good. Timeless, rich, and endlessly replayable. The CD comes in a paper sleeve, which I actually prefer. Sure, it’s not as armor-plated as a plastic jewel case, but it’s lighter, eco-friendlier, and ~ bonus ~ way less likely to arrive cracked like half my other desertcart CD orders. I’ll take a little wear over shattered plastic any day. Bottom line: this album is a masterpiece, and the packaging feels like a small nod to sustainability. Win-win.
