Nordic Ware Procast Mini Scone

I absolutely love this pan. Shortening and flour is the way to go for clean pop out every time. Scones come out absolutely perfect. I can’t keep them on a plate at work. Maple pecan, lemon blueberry, orange craisin, all perfect every single time. 10/10 a the size is perfect too.

This pan is fabulous! I am a huge fan of scones, but never managed to cut them into neat, tidy triangles, so always resorted to patting the dough out into a circle and scoring it. This nifty pan takes care of the triangles. Just put the dough into the 16 triangles, pop the pan in the oven, and bake. The scones come out golden. Turn the pan upside down, give a couple of quick shakes and the scones slide right out. Since buying this pan, I have used it exclusively for my scones. When first using the Mini-Scone pan, I was concerned the smaller size of the scones would mean a shorter baking time. I baked several recipes in the pan, and the cooking time was not affected. The only drawback is the pan is not dishwasher safe. Since it is non-stick it cleans quickly with some sudsy water and a rinse. Love this pan for mini scones. Easy to use and clean. Scones keep their shape and brown on all sides. Bought a second one because my recipe made 24 scones.

I sometimes make scones and cornbread for my husband to have for breakfast. Since he is a bit over weight, this mini scone maker is great for portion control. It's also great for those times you crave a little something and not something big. This pans is thick and surprisingly heavy for the size. It is plenty sturdy to hold whatever you use it for and appears to be very durable. I do use a thin layer of vegetable oil for baking, and the scones and cornbread come out easily with loosening the side of the baked goods. Everything comes out evenly browned and evenly baked. I really like the weight, looks, ease of cleaning, and baking features of this scone pan and would recommend it. I'm sure I will find more uses for it than just scones and cornbread, but these uses make it well worth the purchase. I hope this review was helpful for you.

Very well made, but it has its drawbacks. Regular cooking spray cannot be used, nor can it be soaked for an extended period (however long that is). However, butter and cooking spray with flour can be used.

Absolutely love this - used for the first time this week and the scones came out perfectly. No sticking and such nice shapes. Previously I had just made scone blobs but with this pan they are so much more appetizing. Easy to clean as well.

We own a circular scone pan too that makes larger wedge scones. The problem is, we only get about 8 scones with that pan. This pan gives us 16 good sized scones. We use King Arthur brand scone mixes and it’s the exact perfect amount to fill this pan. My daughter and I often bake scones on weekend mornings and she butters the pan while I mix up the scones. We love this pan because it’s a good heavy weight without being too heavy. It’s excellent quality and the scones pop out easily. They are a good size — not too small by any stretch. This is just a spectacular pan. You be disappointed.

I am so glad I invested in this pan! Besides being able to make more evenly sized scones (so that they cook more evenly) and are of a nice snack size, the scones pop out easily and the pan cleans up super-quick, too. In fact, after I pull my pan out of the oven, I put a cooling rack on the top of the pan, flip the two over, tap on the pan a little, and all 16 scones pop out onto the rack to cool. No digging, no scraping, not even with chocolate chip scones! I'm sure the butter in the scones has a lot to do it, but the pan also cleans up very easily with some warm water and a soapy sponge.

Love love this scone baking dish. It’s the perfect size (so far) for each recipe I’ve used. The scones come one great each time.

I bought this Nordic ware scone pan for my grand daughter in Scotland who attends the University. Because she has celiac disease all of her kitchen pans and utensils have to be kept separate and only she can use them. She loves scones and had a great time making her first ever gluten free pumpkin scones with this great pan! Thanks to Nordicware for creating it!

Liked the uniform triangular shapes and the easy release.

I love that I can use my cranberry receipe and make perfect mini scones. I still use my original 8 piece scone pan but this allows me to serve little people a smaller portion but same great taste..
