CD: Michael Jackson,Bad: STILL SEALED Review: Fun, feel-good, 80s, MJ perfection - an all-time pop classic - Michael Jackson wanted Bad to be even better than Thriller. But Thriller was the highest-selling record of all time, winner of 8 Grammys, the start of story-telling in music videos, and the breaker of racial barriers. How could he top it? While Bad failed to perform as well as Thriller, it contained classics such as Smooth Criminal, The Way You Make Me Feel, Man in the Mirror, Dirty Diana, and I Just Can't Stop Loving You. Who can't conjure up an image of the Bad video with the dancing gang, or the Smooth Criminal suit? Bad was an amazing album in its own right, and has become one of my absolute favourites! Bad is all 80s and full of fun. This album makes me happy; it makes me want to dance, it makes me want to have a good time. Each song just feels like a pop masterpiece. This album is varied and has a song for every mood, from the very 80s, feel-good fun of Just Good Friends (why do a lot of people dislike this song?), to the more rocky, sexy Dirty Diana, to the meaningful and emotional Man in the Mirror. If I had to choose between Thriller and Bad, I would choose Bad. Not only does this era have my favourite songs, but my favourite videos! You probably know the classics like Bad, The Way You Make Me Feel, Man in the Mirror, Smooth Criminal and Leave Me Alone. But every song on this album is brilliant - there is no filler here at all. You get two bonus tracks, plus voice-overs from Quincy Jones talking about the making of the album, and why one of the bonus tracks, Streetwalker, didn't make the cut in 1987. I think excluding Streetwalker did the fans of '87 a great disservice - it has quickly become my ultimate favourite, even topping Dirty Diana and The Way You Make Me Feel, which I love. It might be an acquired taste... it's very fun, and suits my tastes perfectly, but others might find it silly... Everyone's different. I'm glad Streetwalker was included on the new release. I have no complaints about this album at all, except for one small thing: I'm So Blue would have been better than Fly Away. But other than that, it's an A+ album. I believe this was actually MJ's most popular era, and it's easy to see why. He was in his prime here, his element - his music appeals to young, old, male, female, kids and adults. His videos are legendary, his choreography second to none. No one has topped MJ and possibly no one ever will. I'm just sad that I wasn't here to witness this era, and appreciate it, at the time. I would have been right up there at the barrier in my 80s gear, that's for sure. Review: Bad - Bad what a masterpiece, its such a great album. these are the ratings i give the songs and why:- Bad 10/10 - has a great beat and makes you wanna dance to it, no matter what. The Way You Make Me Feel 10/10 - has a nice beat/tone, it makes you sing along and it is very well sang. Speed Demon 9/10 - quite a speedy kind of song, great song to listen to if our driving. Liberian Girl 10/10 - got a good R&B beat to it, and is well sang. Just Good Friends 8/10 - don't see the point of this song, its quite funky but bores you after a while. Another Part Of Me 8/10 - has a nice beat and shows a bit of emotions, but i prefer "Streetwalker" for which was replaced with this song. Man In The Mirror 10/10 - what a good song, really shows emotion and has great lyrics and vocals. I Just Can't Stop Loving You 10/10 - a lovely ballad, which makes you sing along and you find yourself playing over and over. Dirty Diana 10/10 - a good rock song, i think its about Princess Diana for which i heard anyway. Smooth Criminal 10/10 - a great dance song, which gets you dancing without stopping. Leave Me Alone 10/10 - this is a song aimed at the press to stop pestering him, it has a good beat and strong lyrics. Streetwalker 10/10 - a great song, should of been chosen instead of "Another Part Of Me" it has a better sound, what went wrong? Fly Away - 9/10 - a nice ballad beat song, has a nice feeling when you listen to it. In overall i give this album an 10/10 - its a great album has a good selection of songs, some for which could be better if replaced with "Fly Away" and "Streetwalker" instead.

Aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh memories
1987... I was 15 and I knew nothing about music, until Bad came along I was known at school as a bit of a bookworm, I loved(And still do)reading. Then my mum gave me some money to go get myself a book but there wasn't any new books out that I hadn't already read so I went to the music section of my local supermarket, the only album I saw that caught my eye was the current number one album...BAD. So I got it on cassette so I could play it on my walkman and from the first song right through to the last I was completely hooked, to say this is the only album I ever listened to for a whole year would be an understatement, I went out and bought Thriller and Off the wall but after a few listens I always ended up missing Bad. This album is a real nostalgia trip for me, it's the first album I went out and bought myself and it's the first album I listened to and absolutely loved. Michael has released a few more great albums but for me none surpass this one, this is a true eighties classic. I remember being so jealous at the time of the people that owned a CD player(I didn't) because they got leave me alone as a bonus song but it was a great relief when it was released as a single, I got my pocket money and rushed straight out to get it. This album must be bought by anybody who was a teenager in the eighties, it's a classic and deserves to sell more than Thriller.

Plays fine, pleased with purchase.
Plays well, son is pleased. The case had a small crack in it but due to covid I knew being so close to Christmas I wouldn't be able to request an exchange - that's the only reason for 4 stars

Simply a Phenomenal Album, Always & Forever!
I thought I knew Michael Jackson's music - Billie Jean, Beat It, Thriller, Smooth Criminal, Black & White, Bad, etc. The mega big hits. But having recently purchased all of Michael Jackson's major solo albums I am simply in awe of the amazing artist he is. In respect with this album 'Bad', I think it is my favourite of all of them. It is completely filled with great songs, pretty much all of which could have been hits. I think there are at least 7 or 8 singles on there. Not a single filler here. My personal favourites on here are Bad, The Way You Make Me Feel, Man In The Mirror, I Just Can't Stop Loving You, Dirty Diana, Smooth Criminal, and Leave Me Alone. The special edition of this CD also includes the fantastic Streetwalker. This song is so good it is a shame it missed out on the original album. What you realise when you buy all his CD's and look throught he booklets is that Michael Jackson actually wrote and composed most of his songs including his biggest hits. That I did not know, he's a music genius.

A masterpiece without a doubt!!
I got this album on cassette when it came out and listened to it constantly. I recently got the cd version and im still listening to it. that tells you everything you need to know about how good this album is. There isn`t a song on here that i don`t like but if i had to pick some, i`d have to say bad, the way you make me feel, man in the mirror, i just can`t stop loving you, to name but a few. Ignore the bad reviews since they clearly don`t know what good music is. I even rate this has his best album. I have thriller but do prefer this one. There will never be another michael jackson, he was a musical genius but his music will live on through his fans for many many years.
