And that makes it effortless. And if you want to use it to make thin-sliced carrots, zucch.s etc. you'll have the thinnest ribbons possible. I found myself not peeling vegetables, saying "all the good stuff is in the peel." But homestly, it was partly because peeling is a pain. But now, I peel (sometimes only remove some of the peel) because it's easy, precise, and it makes the textures of the veg. more interesting. At some point you're going to need a peeler.
