Review: The Retro Upgrade My Countertop Needed: Form Meets Function - The "Upgrade" Factor: Iโve used the older push-button SodaStream models for years, but the SodaStream ART is in a completely different league. If you are tired of the "utility" look of basic soda makers, this is the one to get. It looks like a high-end espresso machine and actually adds to the kitchen aesthetic rather than just taking up space. Why the Lever is a Game-Changer: Tactile Control: The manual lever is much more satisfying than a top button. It gives you a great sense of "pull" and allows for very precise carbonation. I find that three short pulls give me the perfect "bottled water" level of fizz, while five pulls create that aggressive, "burn-your-throat" carbonation I love. Ergonomics: For anyone who struggles with pressing down on top-heavy buttons, the lever is far easier to operate. Itโs smooth, consistent, and doesn't require much force. Design & Setup: Quick Connect (Pink Cylinder): The "Quick Connect" technology is a massive improvement. No more awkward screwing in of the CO2 cylinder; it just snaps in with a handle-lock. It took me less than 60 seconds to go from unboxing to my first glass of seltzer. Cordless Freedom: Since itโs manual, there are no cords cluttering the counter. I keep mine on a bar cart, and it works perfectly without needing to be near an outlet. Dishwasher Safe Bottle: The included bottle is actually dishwasher safe (check the label on yours!), which solves the #1 annoyance of older SodaStream models. Sustainability Note: I was going through two cases of sparkling water a week. This machine has completely eliminated that plastic waste. The CO2 exchange program is super easy to use, making the long-term cost much lower than buying pre-bottled seltzer. Pros: Stunning retro-industrial design. Intuitive lever for customizable fizz. No electricity required. Easy-to-use "Quick Connect" cylinder system. Cons: Higher price point than the "Terra" model, but the build quality and look justify it if you leave it on your counter. Final Verdict: The SodaStream ART is the perfect blend of style and utility. Itโs a "buy it once" kind of appliance that performs as good as it looks. If youโre a heavy seltzer drinker, this is a 5-star investment for your home bar or kitchen. Review: Love this "machine" - We had a Penquin bubbly water maker for 15+ years that recently stopped working and thought it was a terrific addition to our meal making. We even mourned its passing. But this SodaStream is like an iphone compared to a flipphone. It is even easier to use, makes better seltzer and a larger quantity UNBREAKABLE container. The amazing thing to me is it is even less costly than the Penquin was all those years ago. Hopefully, I'll be using this at least 15 years and not need to buy another. But, If you like your bubbly or seltzer or fizzy soda water, I highly recommend this product.

Wasy to use
I really like this Sodastream machine. It does take a shot while to figure out how many pulls you need to get the amount of carbonation you like. We also like the throwback look of it. I recommend it to anyone looking for great product that fits well on your kitchen counter.

The right streamer for me...
I have been shopping around for one of these soda makers for a while. I still believe they are way overpriced for what they do and the simple tech behind it, but the more I read, the more doubt and apprehension built up on getting some brand-less product with no real warranty or backing from a company. This one went on a decent sale and I finally gave in. I've had it long enough now to know I am quite satisfied and happy with it. Works flawlessly and I have my soda water on demand, without waste. The cylinder replacements can be pricey but mine has lasted a ton of bottles so far and still going. I usually stay clear of proprietary designs that will not allow aftermarket consumables to be used, like the squeeze-style cylinder collar instead of the screw in type. These cartridges are identical in design across the board, no matter what brand. So when it comes to these, I do like to have choices since this is a constant replacement. I did locate a nice option recently so other than that, this is the perfect all around gadget for me.

MACHINE LEAKS GAS & WATER.
I bought this product based on the good reviews I saw. I disregarded the bad reviews. But my wife and I got disappointed as the machine does not work properly. It leaks CO2 badly and it also leaks water. Apparently the bottle is not connecting properly to the machine. May be the seal or something is bad. The CO2 canister that came with it got exhausted in the process of several trials to see may be the bottle did not click properly. We have an old machine that is not as expensive as this one and that one served us for two years before it started leaking CO2. So we are not new to soda stream machine. Anyway, I have filed for a refund through my bank as there is no provision to return this product. I will not recommend any product that makes it difficult to return. Any seller that make return impossible is not worth buying from.

Great product for the price.
This is a nice setup. I and family are very happy. It surprises me how quiet this sodastream is compared to the one we bought six years ago. With the side pull handle it is easy to use and can be placed on the counter under our kitchen cabinets. Keep saving the planet!
