Go with double the cfm for a compressor if you can. If you want to know why, keep reading. The short is if it uses 7 and the compressor makes max 7, it will never shut off and your pressure in the tank will slowly diminish. Compressors also have a duty cycle, meaning the ration of on and off. If it's 40%, that means out of say 10 minutes total, it can only be on a total of 4 minutes or you will eventually burn it up. I was an engineer at a blasting media company that also sold equipment. Our demo cabinet used slightly less air and we used a 20 HP compressor for continuous usage. That is very roughly 80cfm @ 100psi. When we hooked a second blast pot to it that used twice the air, you could quickly tell. That is less than 25 cfm total usage and we pretty much maxed an 80 cfm compressor. **Q: Will this help strip paint off a motorcycle frame.?** A: I imagine it will. I use it to strip off qpd and parkerized finishes that are harder than paint **Q: Would this work to resurface the face of stainless steel golf clubs? Also, what compound would work best?** A: It would. I would use the coconut husk.
