While they are expensive compared to cheaper alternatives, they are 100% worth the cost. I jog a lot and I've tried other brand athletic socks that are half the price, but they don't compare to Balega. These are so much more comfortable and durable that I won't bother buying any other socks for jogging. In fact, I have a few pair of these socks that are probably 10 years old, and granted, I only wear them to jog in, not everyday, but they are still in great shape. Watch for a sale and try 1 pair, I highly recommend them.

These are absolutely hands-down the best and most comfortable socks! They last forever and keep your feet warm in the winter but breathable in the summer. They are a bit expensive but worth the money.

Without the tab would be weird daily with low top converse for example but a daily sock 99% of the time has been great. I have very sensitive feet. I’m grateful that I found these socks because they fit perfectly, are obviously great quality and moisture wicking. I think they’re pricey but “I’m worth it!”

I have purchased these a few times over the years and love them for an everyday sock, but the time I wore them to Disneyworld in June, they held in the moisture which contributed to terrible blisters and just the feeling of heavy, damp socks. The next time I went and every time since I have worn moisture wicking socks. It is hard for me to fathom they would be good for running in humid climates.

I am absolutely blown away by these socks. I have very specific (and difficult) criteria for running gear: I struggle with extremely wet feet during runs, I can’t stand the itch of wool, and I have a sensitivity to elastane/spandex that usually causes my skin to break out if the compression is too high. The Pros Skin-Safe Fabric: Most performance socks are loaded with elastic fibers, but these only have 2% elastane. For someone like me who gets skin irritation from high-elastane compression gear, these are a total lifesaver. No breakouts, just comfort. Superior Moisture Management: My feet usually feel soaked halfway through a run, but the "Drynamix" fabric in these keeps them remarkably dry without that "squishy" feeling. Cushion Without the Squeeze: The "Hidden Comfort" name is no joke. They feel plush and padded like a cloud, but they don't have that tight, suffocating grip that traditional compression socks have. Perfect Fit: The heel tab is the ideal height—it protects my Achilles from shoe friction but never slides down into the shoe, but when I run in my hokas I still use a bit of kinsi tape to keep my heel from rubbing, in my brooks I don't find it necessary. The Cons Price Point: They are sold as a single pair, so they are an investment. However, given that they solved my skin and moisture issues simultaneously, they are worth every cent. Sizing: Be sure to check the Balega chart; since they aren't high-compression, getting the "Small" right is key to preventing any movement. For example I wear a womens wide 8 shoe and the small size fits me perfectly. Final Verdict: If you are a runner who needs to avoid wool or high-elastane materials but still wants a high-performance, dry-wicking sock, these are the ones. I’m already planning to replace my entire sock drawer with these.
