Large digital thermometers
Very easy to use and read

Excellent
The accuracy compared with a known standard is correct. Repeatable. Super easy to read with the huge display - I can even read it while it is in my mouth. To cope with the slight reduction in oral temperature caused by inserting the room temperature probe, I put it first in the left side heat pocket under my tongue for 45 seconds, then quickly shift to the right side. Takes about another 30 seconds to register the accurate temperature.

Highly accurate
This to me feels like an old school thermometer, 1 to 2 minute temperature readings give it time to record a real temp. Used a professional Welch Allyn hospital thermometer to compare and was an exact match every time. Highly recommend.

Functional, but loud.
I purchased the “big backlight” model of this thermometer. I researched this model and decided on it because of the memory recall, large display, backlight, and “friendly soft beep” features. It is easy to use, the recall is great, the large display and backlight are super helpful. Unfortunately, the beep is extremely loud. it doesn’t match the description on the noise level of the beep, but otherwise is a great choice.

Everything I want in a basal thermometer!
I've owned a number of digital basal thermometers since I first read Taking Charge of Your Fertility almost a decade and a half ago, and this is the best one since they discontinued the BD Basal Thermometer. I'm delighted to have finally found a replacement that works well, totally meets my needs, and doesn't have any of the various minor annoyances of others I've tried. Most important, of course, is getting consistent, accurate temperature readings so I can accurately detect the shift of a few tenths of a degree, and this thermometer performs admirably. It generally takes just over a minute to get a reading while on the basal setting, while the less accurate fever mode takes less than fifteen seconds, making this an excellent thermometer for general family use as well. I love that this retains the last thirty temperatures taken in its memory, ensuring that if I set my alarm to wake up early to temp, take the measurement, and then roll over and go back to sleep on the weekends, I won't accidentally delete my data with a wrong button press before I can record it. (That's all too easy to do with thermometers that only keep the last temp in memory.) I appreciate the big numbers and well-lit screen that allow me to see my temperature without turning on the lights and putting on my glasses. The thermometer beeps when turned on and when the reading is complete, but it doesn't beep continually during operation like the old BD did, which is a definite from my husband's perspective. The included plastic case takes some effort to pry open, but it is very secure. It definitely isn't going to pop open in your purse. The thermometer has a rigid tip. It isn't waterproof so recommended cleaning is to just wipe the tip with alcohol. I'll eventually need to locate an itty-bitty Phillips head screwdriver when it is time to replace the CR1632 battery; that's slightly annoying but worthwhile if it keeps batteries out of the hands (and mouths) of small children. I can't comment on battery life yet, but I'll update this review if it turns out to be noteworthy. The manufacturer offers an app for charting, but you have to enter the data manually since this is a basic thermometer without Bluetooth connectivity. I haven't tried the app since I'm content with my existing approach to charting and prefer to keep my health data private. I highly recommend this if you are looking for a basic, reliable digital basal thermometer. This is a thoughtfully designed device that has all the features I want without any extraneous bells and whistles. Whether you are TTC, TTA, or just trying to understand your body better, this thermometer is an excellent tool.

Heavy for keeping in mouth for up to 2 minutes.
This thermometer is heavy. It is uncomfortable to hold in one’s mouth. I have read and reread the instructions. Can’t get it the make sound which indicates temperature is completed. Everything is run with one button that is held for various numbers of seconds. I don’t know if I have yet gotten a correct bbt.

Nice design,Works great
I was impressed with its construction, as it is made with medical-grade materials, ensuring its reliability and safety for regular use. One of the standout features of this thermometer is its waterproof and easy-to-clean design. This aspect is especially valuable, as it allows for hassle-free cleaning and maintenance, ensuring hygiene and preventing the risk of cross-contamination. The waterproof feature adds to its durability, giving me peace of mind that accidental splashes or moisture won't damage the device. The comfort of using the Digital Basal Body Thermometer is worth mentioning. The design is ergonomic and fits well in the hand, making the measuring process smooth and comfortable. Whether using it orally or under the arm, I found it easy to hold and use without any discomfort. The large backlit screen is a great convenience, especially in dim lighting conditions or during nighttime readings. The display is clear and easy to read, providing instant and accurate temperature readings. This is especially important for basal body temperature tracking, where precision is crucial for fertility awareness and family planning. Speaking of accuracy, this thermometer excels in providing high precision and fast oral readings. I found the measurements to be consistent and reliable, allowing me to track my basal body temperature with confidence. The fast response time is an added bonus, especially when measuring temperatures for restless or uncooperative individuals. Additionally, I appreciate the portability and ease of use of the Digital Basal Body Thermometer. Its compact size makes it convenient to carry during travels or on-the-go, ensuring I can monitor my temperature accurately, no matter where I am.

product keeps shutting off before measuring temperature
This product has a terrible design flaw that makes it non functional— it has a 60 second auto shut off to conserve battery but takes 60-90 seconds to measure your temperature which means it almost always turns off before finishing the reading. Extremely frustrating!
