You Get What You Pay For . . .
The low price being said, this boot is perfect for the casual users around the yard, and short hiking trips. The boot is very light weight and takes little breaking in time. I did go up half a size so as to accommodate thicker socks and an insole, and glad I did. Went from a size 10 medium to a 10.5. The inside has no padding at all with the exception of a little around the ankle area, so a thick(er) pair of socks is a good idea. Also, purchase an insole as there is no foot padding either.

Affordable and Comfortable
Bought for my husbands last minute backpacking trip. He was only able to break them in for 1 day before leaving, but they were comfortable and no issues on his trip.

Recreational boot
It's a light weight, summer time recreational boot. Sole insert is not great but you can change that. True size, and there is room for feet movement, not tight, good for hot weather. It's more recreational boot , not for serious hikers.

Great Fit
These size 9 1/2 hiking boots fit perfectly. They were comfortably broken after a couple of hikes. I was skeptical about buying footwear online. But, the size was the same as a different model of Khombu hiking boots I previously wore.

You get what you pay for
Fist of all I usually wear a 10 2E or 10W shoe. Because these boots are Medium fit I went with 10.5 size boots. They are too big. I had to buy insoles and heavy socks to make them fit better. Second the outsoles are to thin as you can feel the rocks when you step on them. The extra cushioning insoles helped a little to make them less noticeable. Dont walk on pavement with these shoes as the rubber ridges and knobs on the outsoles will wear down rather quickly. The loop on the back of the shoe to help pull them on is barely large enough to get your finger thru it. So by the time you have spent the extra money for heavy socks and insoles, you would be better off to pay a little more upfront for a better boot. Overall I would give these a 3.5 rating at best.

Size consistency issues
Changing in a 1/2 size went from sloppy fit to tight.

This is my second pair.
This item is comfortable. I use it on my flower farm. It lends support for the terrain.
