Impressed with the quality of this timed feeder. Holds a decent capacity of food that would last for a few days depending on portion size & number of feeds a day. Took a little while to figure out how to set the functions as the instructions could have been clearer but now we know what to do its straightforward. I particularly liked the portion size function which meant our cat is getting just the right amount. The plus for us is being able to use it with the batteries as we'll be using it in our garage so didn't want leads trailing. Overall very impressed.

Working well so far. Only complaints would be that the portions are a little irregular despite being the same at each timing to start with and chord is short enough. Portions have become more regular with more use. Chord could be a bit longer considering plugs in kitchens tend to be at a higher height. Seems a sturdy enough product... cat hasn't managed to break in yet, so so far, so good!! When it comes to owning a cat, I've had my fair share of unusual cat feeders in the past from the basic battery-operated rotating circular feeder to the advanced wi-fi with webcam feeder - both had their issues. However, I am quite impressed with this basic model of the 2L Petlibro Cat Feeder. The programmable controller is very user-friendly, it has a white indicator light that lets you know that your feeder operation is running smoothly and goes into red light mode if the feeder is running low on dry food. It is very portable and can run off 4 disposable D batteries automatically, should there be no main power to your home, whilst away. Obviously, you can hear the rotation for a mere few seconds, which is good in some ways to let you know that its doing its job. Easy enough to clean - simple damp/dry cloths will do the trick. Obviously, there is a couple of downsides to this product (hence the 4 stars)...the red light mode can also flash if the rotation is jammed - thats ok if you happen to be around, but not something you want to be aware of if you happen to be going away for a few days - not that I have experienced this issue as yet. The other downside is, as this product is mains powered, its not very environmentally-friendly that it only uses disposable batteries as its back-up power - obviously I wouldn't know if my disposable batteries are healthy enough to continue its action until I arrive back home, but at the same time, I could be throwing away perfectly healthy disposable batteries after 3-4 months if the back-up power has not been used. A simple built-in rechargable battery (lasting at least a week) would of been the way forward, rather than potentially wasting disposable batteries (old or new) - I can only hope that Petlibro will consider this option in the near future. Other than that, in my opinion, this product is a must-have cat feeder...its simple to operate and very practical...it does what you would expect of a cat feeder and its certainly well worth the money....just don't depend on it if you're on holiday/business vacations alot.

Purchased this about a month ago now to control meals of a small dog as my mum has dementia & was overfeeding it. We use batteries ( D type) which are supposed to last about 6 months(not included). It does come with a mains lead too. It is easy to set up the timer which we set up for 2 meal times, but it will dispense upto 6 times. You first set the clock, then the dispensing time, followed but the quantity to dispense( a portion is about 11 mls or 1/24 of a cup) so you say how many potions to dispense for a meal upto a max of 14 ie. If 1 cup daily intake per day over 2 meals is 12 potions per meal .It is filled from the top with a quick push release lid & will take kibble from 2mm- 15mm in size. We fill it roughly once a week. Most of it can be dismantled for cleaning. This is great for cats & small dogs. Highly recommend it & I think it is good quality & value.

Easy set up and works reliably and well.

Bought this for my greedy cat that gobbles his food too fast then pukes unless you feed him little portions. Was able to set it up to deliver 6 little meals over 24 hours, and it's been absolutely great!! The food drops into the dish with a clatter that brings him tearing through the house the second he hears it. There's a helpful table in the instructions to work out how many portions your cat gets in a day - I first had to weigh out his daily food ration and pour into a measuring cup to work out what volume he eats e.g. half a cup of food a day. The table tells you how many portions that is, then you can divide up that number of portions across the feeds you want in a day. The table gives suggestions, but other combinations are available if you do the (simple) arithmetic. I found the meal programming really easy to set up and very intuitive once I'd worked out the quantities should be. After it's set up, it runs like a dream - just need to remember to top it up every so often although the "low food" red light indicator comes on to let you know if food is running low. A worthwhile buy and highly recommended!

This is a great piece of kit. Set your programme and the feeder dispenses. Brilliant for when you are away for a long weekend. However.... after a couple of months of use, the programmer is faulty and "forgets" all scheduled feeds. Every day you have to reprogram the feeder for the next 24 hours. We bought this to ensure our cat is fed whilst we are away for a few days. It is now utterly useless after only a short time of use. If PETLIBRO can arrange an exchange, then I'll be very happy. Otherwise, be warned that you are only covered by a 30 day returns policy.

I purchased this pet feeder over a year ago (July 2024) and I have really had no significant problems with it. The only tiny thing to mention is that over time the clock seems to speed up a bit. While I have it set to go off at the top of the hour, over time it will eventually be dispensing at 10 mins to the hour. Not a big deal to me at all. Everything else has worked wonderful. Since it is not located near a power outlet, I put batteries in it and I STILL have not needed to change the batteries. For anyone who is concerned about using batteries, do not be worried. The food is kept nice and fresh with the seal lock on the top and I've never had a problem with any moisture building up and I don't even have any desiccant packs in it. My cat was particular and didn't like the stainless dish, but I was able to place her small ceramic dish in front of it instead with no problem. The timing setup takes a bit to get used to but it's fairly straightforward once you get the hang of it. The instructions do explain how to do it. It sits securely on the floor and has never tipped over. Overall I think it's a good value and I would recommend since I've been using it for quite awhile without any significant issues.

This is one of the best products I’ve purchased for my 2 cats. I never have to worry about being home on time to give them their meals, and they know that their meals are coming, whether I’m there or not. The feeder is very reliable and has never let me down. It tells me a couple days in advance when their kibble is getting low. The app works great.

Lo compre como medida para controlar cuanto come mi gato y tengo opiniones separadas, por un lado, me encanta el producto, la batería dura fácilmente más de un mes por lo que mantenerlo desconectado no es un problema. la app es intuitiva y fácil de usar, es cierto que hay funciones bloqueadas por una suscripción, pero no son ni de lejos las más importantes solo extras, como un historial, en líneas generales el producto cumple con lo que promete totalmente. también es cierto que lo que recibes por lo que pagas me parece un poco desproporcionado, más cuando existe dentro de la marca otro alimentar qué usualmente están al mismo precio y tiene mejores características y capacidad de almacenamiento, yo compre este en una buena rebaja y por eso me anime pero de normal iría por los otros alimentadores de la marca, si hay una buena rebaja es un producto excelente, si es precio regular, mejor ve con el alimentadores de 5L
