Perfect replacement/Upgrade for Steam Deck
These shorter form factors are certainly slower but produce less heat than longer sticks. But this is NEEDED for a steam deck. Performance is great and I have about 35+ games installed on my deck and still have 500gb free yet including the needed shader pre caches. This is a real 2TB capacity (always a fear when buying large memory and batteries in today's world!) Yes! Recommend. For giggles I took the 64Gb and used Active Disk v19 and cloned the 64GB to the 2TB before the install. The Steam deck resized the partition to have 1.8Tb reported! And all worked. I did reflash with official images for safety as I'm a full time RVer and my Internet is all cellular. I could not risk having to download anything a 2nd time later but I think it would have been perfect.

Great drive for Surface Pro 9 and 8
Picked up two of these for my new Surface Pro 9 and my wife's year old Pro 8. Easy replacement of the 256GB drives, great quality from Microcenter/Inland. I do live close to the Tustin store but Amazon had a better price. Only extra item I needed was a Torx 3 bit which I also purchased an Ifixit tool set and some thermal tape. Used a Usb drive to make a recovery drive from each of the surfaces, this was the longest part and then restored it back to the new drive once it was installed. All working great.

2tb
The 2TB SSD delivers impressive storage capacity with swift data access speeds. Whether for gaming, creative work, or general use, it provides ample space without compromising on performance. The SSD's reliability and faster read/write speeds compared to traditional hard drives contribute to smoother overall system responsiveness. While the cost might be higher, the enhanced speed and substantial storage make the 2TB SSD a worthwhile investment for those seeking both space and speed in their storage solution.

Price to performance King, I would skip the 2tb and get this, used for steam deck upgrade.
You wanna get the TLC Drives, if you care about longevity, which this is. and its a newer drive as well. it's pretty easy to install into the steam deck, didn't have any errors installing the OS on this and it's doing well on load times and other necessary tasks needed on there. Would definitely recommend. I got it for near 75$.

Great for Asus ROG Ally
Super easy install for ROG Ally. Took less than 5 minutes to swap out the original 512GB drive. Reinstalling windows was a breeze with the ASUS cloud restore. Faster drive, more storage is a win, win!

Works Well in ROG Ally
I bought this to upgrade the internal storage of my ASUS ROG Ally. After some research, I decided on this product because I found out that inLand is the house brand for Microcenter and also ETA Prime on Youtube used this same brand product on his Asus ROG Ally internal storage upgrade how to video. Go follow ETA Prime; he produces content specifically in the small single board computer space, the small form factor computer space and now the hand held system space. Very informative. His how to guide used the 1TB inLand model, but I opted for this 2TB model instead. On paper, this 2TB unit has better performance and durability than the stock Micron drive that comes in the Allly. Real world experience, now that this 2TB inLand unit is installed in my Ally, I cannot see a noticeable uplift, but I have not seen a detriment in performance neither. It seems that 2230 form factor NVME drives commands a price premium over their 2280 form factor counterparts. That said, I wanted something that was about the same performance as the stock Micron NVME drive. I did NOT go with the WD Black because of its thermals. Price was the highest for the WD Black SN770M and on paper it is the superior drive. However, that performance commands the highest price but also may have thermal issues that the Ally may not be able to cool. I figured this InLand 2TB was a reputable brand since MicroCenter backs it and evne though it is not the fastest of the 2230 units I looked at, it was still the storage increase I wanted and would not cause any undo thermal issues compared to the some of the higher performance drives in this space. I did not get too concerned about TLC vs QLC Nand nor about the potential performance write hit of the drive as it approaches full storage capacity. There may be an argument for these considerations but realistically, it will probably be a non issue for day to day real world use. I would recommend this for your handheld gaming PC upgrade.

Wonderful in the Steam Deck
This drive was a piece of cake to install. Transfer speeds are faster than my original 512GB SSD. Games move from internal to external storage and vice versa faster than before. Load times are noticably faster, too. I'm loving my 2TB storage upgrade.
