For a mere 25¢ each, this has become my new multi-purpose household hook hanger thingy!
Shop Carefully! Prices range from $4.80 for 20 pieces to $6.50 for only 10 pieces (both with free shipping) and every price in between. Even at 65¢ each ($6.50 for 10) this is a good deal, but why pay double or more when you don't have to? And there's no need to order from China - there are several U.S. marketplace sellers offering them in the $5 for 20 pieces price range with free shipping (or for $2.75 with $2.30 shipping). Don't automatically click the Prime option - it's not always the least expensive! These are sturdy stainless steel cables with barrel screws. The screws are well-threaded for a secure hold (took about 12-18 twists, or half-turns, with thumb & forefinger to get it firmly closed), so I can't see them unscrewing themselves very easily. In order for them to turn smoothly though, they have to be coated with something, which means they CAN unscrew themselves with frequent use. So it would be prudent to get in the habit of giving them a tightening twist when putting them in your bag or taking them out of your pocket if using them as a keyring. Also, the convenience of such small wire rope means they aren't as sturdy as a thicker cable, and I'm sure the wire will bend/break with enough use, especially if they're being shoved into and pulled out from tight jeans pockets several times a day. But they seem very sturdy, and I can't imagine them bending/breaking with ordinary use for a very long time. These are so conveniently sized (6" long) and well made, I purchased two 20-piece packages (from a marketer called AToshin via Amazon Prime for $5.50 per 20-pc pkg). They don't close snugly enough to replace plastic cable ties for actually tying cables, but they are perfect for many uses that I once used plastic cable ties for. Unlike cable ties, they don't have to be cut and thrown away when you need to remove them. (e.g., hanging garden tools and other stuff from the wall or peg-board in the shed/garage.) They are a bit too long for the original purpose I had in mind for them - hanging each 1-3/4" thumb drive from a cable ring individually so I can remove each thumb drive from the main key-ring wire when I need to use it. Think I'll get some small s-biners for each thumb drive and hang them all from one of these wires as a key-ring. This has become my new multi-purpose household hook hanger thingy :)

Good and Bad
The good: 1. You get a bunch of 'em for cheap. 2. They seem pretty sturdy. I wouldn't hang off a cliff from one or anything, but I wouldn't be too freaked out putting my body weight on one. 3. Let's face it, they're cool. It gets noticed every time I take my keys out if someone's nearby. The bad: Just one thing really- the screw sslloowwllyy comes unwound. My first experience of this was it popping off and showering the kitchen floor with my keys. I now check it (and tighten it) every morning when I head to work- and it needs a little tightening every morning.

Very Useful
These may be called key rings, but they're much more useful than for just holding keys. They're very sturdy and I have no fear that they will come apart or break. I bought these to use as key rings, but I've ended up finding them much more useful than I had anticipated. Having gotten tired carrying around a key chain with masses of keys, I bought these and easily sorted my keys out into categories. I realize of course I could have done this before with regular split-ring keyrings, but the idea of prying apart those keys, likely cracking my nails in the process, seemed to negate the benefits of organizing my keys. Because this is a rather large pack of rings, I sorted my keys into office, home, rewards cards, etc and clipped them to the key leash in my bag. I've also used two of the rings to attach luggage tags to my suitcase to assure they don't get torn from the bag. I put one through the bottom hatch zippers on my backpacking backpack, linking them together so that it doesn't accidentally unzip. I would also recommend using them in place of luggage locks--they're easily opened by the TSA, but if they're gone when you claim your bag, you know someone has been in it. Plus, they're cheap enough that if they do go missing, you won't miss them too dearly.

Really not bad, just too long for my needs.
Pros: - Inexpensive for a large quantity. - Seem fairly well-made for a cheap Chinese product. - Great for customizing your keychain & getting away from the typical split-ring - Screw-type closure provides easy access to any keys or accessories that need to removed quickly - Stainless steel seems to be genuine so far (I haven't really tested this yet however) Cons: - The length of the cable is too long, at least for my needs. Ideally 1 to 1.5 inches shorter would be perfect. (This is highly subjective.) - The cable is somewhat thin and begins to develop hard bends in it over time. They can be somewhat bent back out, but this is due to the soft, pliable, malleable nature of this wire, and will continue to get bent. - The screw closure can inadvertently unscrew itself. If you clip your keys onto your belt loop, then a daily (or more often) check to ensure the screw-gate is tight is necessary. However, this may no be any different with other similar products. I have not tried other products similar to these, so I cannot compare & contrast. But I wouldn't buy these again, mainly for the fact that the cable itself is too long (nearly 6"). But I didn't really have a basis to know which type would work for me. Maybe these would work great for someone that liked that these are longer than comparable items. The screw-gate coming undone isn't something that would necessarily kill the deal. If you screw it down very tightly, it's unlikely to come unscrewed unless you are really being active, in which case it's a good idea to put your keys somewhere more secure anyway. All in all, not a bad product, just not what I need.

Brilliant
Fantastic idea in general and can be used for many things other than just a key ring. Pros: + Inexpensive + Durable + Works very effectively + String many of them together Cons: - Really more of a wish that you could somehow lock the threaded collar to prevent any chance of it loosing. But, a simple piece of tape is more than enough to accomplish this.

Breaks easily
I put my keys on one yesterday. This morning I pulled the keys out of my jacket pocket, and the cable broke off the connector and dumped some of my keys down a storm drain. I took another one out and fully connected the two ends, and I was able to break it apart with barely any force. I tested a third and it broke with 5 pounds hanging from it, which could easily happen if the keys get caught on something. I will not be using any more of these, I have another type that I bought for much more money but does not lose my keys.

Nice quality, useful size
Quality of materials, fit and finish seem very good. Size is like a big keyring, or a small carabiner. But this is flexible. Fastener is easy to open/close. Delivery took a little while, but I expected that. Price was VERY reasonable for the quantity and quality. I've not yet tested how resistant to rusting/corrosion the stainless is, but if it's what I expect, it'll be just fine.

Good product for what it is.
The item is fairly nice. Although, this is made of regular steel, so it will rust (almost immediately in my case). The crimps on the fittings are okay. Since they are simply crimped, I wouldn't necessarily put something of high value on the key chain. But if it were an item of low value or duplicate (spare keys..), then this item is perfect for those. Originally, the seller shipped me 1 instead of the 20 I ordered, but after communication with them, they sent the rest. Good news is that they were easy to work with. Bad news is that they shipped standard mail from China and it took 1 month to get the first one and then another month to get the remaining 19. Overall, I probably wouldn't buy these again since it was more of an impulse buy anyways.
