I'd seen lots of other L brackets of varying prices, some as much as 10 x the cost of this one, but couldn't quite work out why. This was bought for a Nikon Z8. I'm pleased to say it was a good purchase, for me. It works really well for the intended use, it's solid and feels reliable and well made. Just be aware that in order to make sure it fits snugly without moving around, you will need to use an allen key (it comes with one) or similar to screw it on tight enough. Fingers alone probably won't be good enough unless you're much stronger than me. PLEASE BE AWARE, however, as this is just a generic design, it's not mapped to any particular camera, so as with the pictures above, all the ports on the left of the Nikon Z8 are not accessible when it is attached. That doesn't bother me at all as I'm only ever using it for landscape photography with a tripod. However, if you need easy access to the ports, you will need to buy a bracket tailored for your particular camera. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Almost perfect *by N***. on 6 February 2018* Canon 5D series and different (arca swiss) ball heads. Works perfect. Feels very sturdy and it does the job. It does get in the way of the remote trigger but the simple solution is to slide it a bit to the side to make enough space (or use the 5d IV :) ). I was hoping to use my current blackrapid screw but unfortunately it does not fit. I did some research and this one had the potential to work but unfortunately it didn't. It does have a place to screw it but it just sticks out from the bottom (see picture). It does the trick but it's not ideal. The provided screw is ok but nowhere near the quality of blackrapid. I tried other screws but they also don't fit (manfrotto). This is why I give 4 stars as I would like to be able to use other screws that give me more peace of mind.
