Makes ice quickly and works great
This countertop ice maker works really well and starts producing ice much faster than I expected. It’s compact enough to fit easily on the counter but makes plenty of ice throughout the day. Operation is simple and the noise level is reasonable. Great for everyday use, especially when hosting or when the freezer ice runs out. Definitely a very convenient appliance to have. 🧊

Perfect for me! (Not for everyone.)
I love cold drinks with lots of ice, but I live in an area prone to tropical storms and flooding where "boil water" notices are frequent. So connecting an ice maker to a tap water source is ill-advised. Consequently, I was buying bags of ice at the store every week. With this unit I can use bottled water and make all the ice I want. It has been reliable so far, and has already paid for itself. I really like the bullet-shaped cubes. They melt slowly enough to keep drinks cold, yet crush more easily than large cubes or crescents when used in a blender. Although it wasn't a major factor in my purchase, I plugged the unit into an ECOFLOW portable power station and solar panel just to see how it functioned. It pulled 1.8 amps when making ice, and worked the same as it did on regular house current, confirming that I could use that setup to make ice while camping or during a power outage. Note: This is not a "set it and forget it" commercial ice maker. You fill the well with water, it makes 9 cubes about every six minutes, and dumps them into a basket (and yes, that makes some noise, of course). That basket is in an insulated compartment, but it's not refrigerated, so if you leave the ice in it as shown in the product photos, it will eventually start to melt (the water drips back into the well). With that in mind, I usually make ice while I'm a watching a game on TV or something, so I can get up and dump each batch of ice into a container in my kitchen freezer before it starts to melt (and refill the 1.2L water well if needed). After three or four hours, I have enough ice (10+ pounds) for the week. This unit was priced considerably lower when I bought it. I'm not sure I would have purchased it for the current $75 (lots of similar choices for less), but I'm glad I have it.

Great little ice maker...gets the job done, and will pay for itself before long.
Surprising yield per fill. Set and forget, either bin full of ice or out of water, it will automatically pause with appropriate indicating light showing status. We don't even leave it on our counter all the time...one day operation will give us as much or more ice as our usually purchased 10 lb sacks at the grocery would. Considering that our rather small, rural store charges well over $3 for one of those, the maker will indeed pay for itself before long. Another thing to enjoy is how easy it is to keep the pieces separated one from another, since there is little excess water involved instead of the melt during trips back from grocery to home. And although the quite small pieces at first give the impression that it will take forever to get much ice out of the process, I timed a few of the start to finish batches (just 6 pieces) and it really is only 6 minutes. Walk away, ignore it for a while, and from morning to evening, a few bin emptying moments - and who doesn't walk into their kitchen several times a day, anyway - which take seconds leave enough ice to last as long or longer than those 10 lb sacks. Every bit as good as advertised. UPDATE: Now 10 months into using this little gem, here in the hot summertime, we have been known to start it up early in the day and fill gallon bags to use for several days, even as we use it for our drinks during the day. At times, it runs pretty much dawn to bedtime. It's still operating as well as when first bought, and since we live in a small town with grocery or gas stations that charge more per bag of ice than, for example, a Walmart might, it has easily paid for itself in both dollars and convenience. If we are busy when it either runs out of water or has the bin full, it just waits until we get to it. We will likely use it until heavy usage causes it to croak. Then we'll buy another.

good while it lasted, which was only until the warranty expired
worked as described, just what i needed. living in an apartment that has the usual insufficient sized, bare minimum refigerator/freezer (no icemaker included, not enough room in freezer for both ice trays and a bin, and food). purhased shortly before an apartment upgrade that provided sufficient space for adding another countertop appliance. always had plenty of ice on hand even if i didn't always transfer to freezer. a couple months ago i connected it to a smart plug which didn't work out as i'd hoped, auto/remote shutoff only, scheduled auto on would only put device in standby mode, also couldn't schedule self cleanings. wasn't real happy with this, but at least it was still working, until yesterday, roughly just under 2 months after the warranty expired. ran all day, but made no ice whatsoever. already ordered a replacement that will do the automations i hoped to accomplish with a smart plug. also disconnected from the smart plug just in case that was the problem. no change, still won't make ice. guess i should consider myself fortunate that i got a couple extra months use from it or that there's enough ice in the freezer bin to last until the replacement arrives tomorrow.

It makes ice very quickly but it is very thin and hollow so will melt very quickly.

I used this ice maker according to the instructions. The ice melts before you can even use it! The ice is so small even on the large ice setting - see my photo. The seller offered a refund, I accepted, but they didn't give the refund and now don't reply to my messages. Don't waste your money on this item.
