This Pork is a staple for adding to eggs, burritos, spaghetti, add to Sloppy Joes, add to a freeze dried meal bag to boost the protein, lots of uses! 5 stars for easy preparation, taste and having reliable freeze dried protein in a crisis. It’s way too expensive *over priced* but it’s meat you can count on. Ships fast, secure packaging, I highly recommend it I just wish it was a normal price. It used to be $10 now it’s $65 before tax.

Love this stuff and Amazon has the best price. While it may seem expensive, the fact I don’t have to deal with cooking fresh and dealing with the grease cleanup afterwards makes it worth the money. I favor this brand as it has sage in the seasoning. I put it in canned items like pastas and soups as well as eggs and casseroles. Sometimes I just grab a handful and enjoy it alone. One can lasts quite a while but I always have one open and one on standby in the pantry.

Mountain House is known for its superior quality, taste, and shelf life. I got this on at a nice sale price, as normally its pricey. The normally high price (typical most brands), and their history of putting too much salt in their products are the only reasons I took one star off. This will last 20-30 years and is part of our emergency food storage.

Absolutely delicious and convenient for camping or when you just want to add extra protein to your scrambled eggs or a soup.

Great product and taste though a bit spicy for my personal taste but does taste much like your usual breakfast pork sausage but with a bit tighter texture. All in all a great product to have on hand to throw in to eggs or soup/quick noodle dish ect.

I'm always skeptical when trying a new product, and this wonderful sausage far exceeded my expectations on pretty much every level. It tastes Exactly the way a fresh, high quality breakfast sausage should, once it has been prepared. As someone who grew up in the south, and prefers savory/spicy over sweet, I couldn't ask for a better tasting sausage. Now for a few words on storage: This can be refrigerated, or frozen once opened. I'm sure it could also be oxygen purged and re-vacuum sealed as well. I just double bag it in ziplocks (1gal) and keep it in the fridge-freezer with the moisture absorbing packet. I HIGHLY recommend this product, and will definitely order again. I'll be trying some other stuff from Mountain House as well!
