Artistic Creativity
This "Shuttle Art" paint kit was ordered for our grandson, who couldn't wait to try it out, however, after viewing some online videos, and seeing the possible mess that could happen, we decided to take a slightly different approach. We covered a small area of our garden with a bed sheet, and placed a glass topped round garden table on it, thoroughly cleaned the surface of the table, keyed the surface slightly with some abrasive paper, and assisted our grandson with the process of paint pouring. The heat from a bright sunny day meant that the colours merged well, creating some fascinating patterns, we made sure a bucket of clean water was nearby at all times, because the paint can be difficult to remove once dried, but a quick dip of the hands soon solved that little problem. The end result was a sight to behold, psychedelic fractals would probably the best way to describe it, but still wonderful nonetheless. So now we have a totally unique garden table, which glistens at night when the lights are shining on it, but there is one downside to it all, there's no paint left for our grandson to practice on something else.

The shine comes through better once dried
The media could not be loaded. I'm not an artist, more of a crafter, but I really fancied having a go at the Dutch pour painting with a hair dryer. I watched a few videos and decided to wing it. I used a small canvas and mixed normal black and white acrylic paint with water, separately. This gave me my base. I selected several colours from the box and got to work. Be careful with the lids as they have a habit of breaking at the hinges. As they could be poured straight from the bottle, that's what I did. However, I found them hard to control this way. I couldn't get thin and connected lines. It was more favourable to blobs.I found the consistency was good with the hair dryer and noticed I got better patterns if I held the dryer still for longer. The colours are strong and by the end I was pleased with my creation, although I didn't think the metallic elements were showing through. That was until I shone a torch on it and it was beautiful. Plus, patterns that I couldn't see in dim lighting revealed themselves. As the paint dried, the shine became strong. It also takes patience to let it fully dry.

Useful colour range
Hi, a good set of useful colours, we have to do a lot of craft things for either school home work or when my kids want to paint the rocks from our beach days, to my son painting just anything he builds to be honest, it’s a good amount of colours to use, seem pricey but they do last, we’ve had some others from when our older batch of kids was young, and now with grandkids, I’m sure my daughter will ask for help with ideas for things to paint for school 😀

Beautiful colours
These are beautiful paints with a large selection of metallic colours. Good sized bottles for storage. Paint goes on well to card and canvas. The price is also excellent for the variety and quality.

Good Colour Range.
The acrylic paints come in a strong cardboard box which could be used for storage. As well as the twenty-four bottles of paint, there is a bottle of silicone oil included. The colour range of the paints is very good and they are intermixable. The acrylic paint is already mixed with a flow medium (usually a PVA) so you don't have to fret about mixing the paint to the correct consistency for paint pouring techniques. That can be a real obstacle if you haven't used the technique before. These paints pour easily, spread without too much encouragement and don't intermix on the support, be it canvas, paper, wood or stone. It's usual to put the paints in the required amounts and application order into small, flexible containers and then pour it to make your painting. The applied paint can be manipulated with combs, feathers, by tilting the canvas or by blowing, as you wish. The silicone supplied can be added to the individual containers or not, as desired. Its purpose is to create 'cells' or flat divisions like a mesh of bubbles in the paint, giving many attractive variations. If you do add silicone, a drop or two is plenty to one or two teaspoons of paint. Remember to clean off the oil once the work is cured and before you attempt to varnish your painting. Varnish will not adhere to any area of silicone. These paints work well for the pouring technique. They flow well and dry to a very attractive metallic sheen. Used judiciously they add quite a glint of mystery to your colours; added freely the impression is rich and voluptuous. They clean up with water but don't let them dry or you'll struggle to shift them. Have fun!
