This clock is only 2 months old in my house. So far, so good! I like the second hand because I can do some of my stretching exercises and I time myself using hnis second hand. The clock has a wonderful plain face, which I like very much.

Make sure you try it right when you get it now it’s past 30 days and not able to return it!!
The clock never kept correct time after every day the clock was an hour off!!

Not completely silent.
Not really silent. I can't hear the individual ticks, but I can hear the whirring of the gears very, very clearly. It's in a position that it is right over my bed and the sound is distracting/annoying when I'm trying to get to sleep. If it were on the other side of the room, perhaps I wouldn't hear it.
