Simple is always best - Don't forget the filter basket!
I had a coffee maker from another well-known brand that was more expensive. The power button developed a mind of its own, so I replaced within the warranty window and the replacement developed the same issue a year later. I decided to go with this brand for the price and simplicity. The power button is on the side instead of the top where condensation may have caused the issue on my other machine. In general, it's simple, but REALLY well made with a smart design. I'm hoping this lasts us forever. We're a fan of the carafe style because I wake up much earlier than my partner. The coffee stays fresh, hot, and doesn't burn. It's perfect! One note - It doesn't come with a filter basket, so be sure to purchase one!

Good quality, basic and simple to use
Easy to use, good that water capacity levels are in the front so in sight instead of on the side so not as viewable. Coffee is very good and stays warm for awhile in the pot. Simple, not complicated at all to use.

The Greatest Coffee Pot ever owned.
I’ve been using the BLACK+DECKER 12 Cup Thermal Programmable Coffeemaker for a while now, and I’m thrilled with how it’s transformed my morning routine and even my camping adventures. This is a pretty and sleek, black-and-silver machine, that features a stainless steel thermal carafe with a four-layer vacuum seal, keeps my coffee hot for EASILY up to two hours while staying cool to the touch. Its Vortex Technology, programmable brewing options, and user-friendly digital controls make it a standout in my kitchen. Priced between $50 and $100, it delivers premium features like a brew strength selector, a fresh brew timer, and a no-drip spout at a budget-friendly cost, making it an absolute gem for coffee lovers like me who value quality and convenience. The coffee this machine brews is consistently delicious, thanks to the Vortex Technology, which evenly saturates the grounds for rich, full-bodied flavor. Whether I’m craving a bold morning kick or a smoother cup, the brew strength selector lets me customize each pot perfectly. I love how the machine reaches the ideal brewing temperature of 195° to 205°F, as noted by reviewers, ensuring every sip is packed with flavor. The LCD display’s fresh brew timer is a thoughtful touch, showing me exactly how long it’s been since my coffee was brewed—up to 120 minutes—so I know it’s still at its peak. One morning, I brewed a pot at 7 a.m., and by 10 a.m., it was still piping hot, which is a game-changer for my busy days. The programmable features make my life so much easier. I can set the 24-hour auto-brew timer the night before, and waking up to the aroma of fresh coffee is pure bliss. The digital controls are intuitive, with large, clearly marked buttons for setting brew strength, batch size (including a 1-4 cup option for smaller batches), and the timer. I’ve found the 1-4 cup setting perfect for when I’m brewing just for myself without sacrificing flavor. The Auto Clean system is another lifesaver, alerting me when it’s time to run a cleaning cycle with vinegar, keeping the machine in top shape with minimal effort. One user mentioned, “Set it up the night before, and you wake up to that smell of freshly brewed coffee,” which perfectly sums up my experience. For camping, this coffeemaker is a dream. Its compact size (9 x 7.75 x 14.25 inches) fits easily in my RV, and the thermal carafe is a godsend for keeping coffee hot during chilly mornings by the campfire. I’ve taken it on weekend trips, and the no-drip Perfect Pour spout means I can pour coffee into my mug without spilling a drop, even on uneven campsite tables. The carafe’s wide mouth makes it easy to clean with a damp towel, and the removable, dishwasher-safe brew basket simplifies cleanup after muddy outdoor adventures. I once brewed a full 12-cup pot (each cup is about 5 ounces) for a group of friends at a campsite, and everyone was amazed at how hot and fresh it stayed for hours.Maintenance is a breeze, which I appreciate as someone with a packed schedule. The washable brew basket is compatible with reusable filters like the GOLDTONE, saving me money on paper filters and making cleanup quick. The carafe’s wide opening allows me to wipe it down easily, and the machine’s Auto Shutoff feature gives me peace of mind, turning off automatically after brewing. I also love the durability of the stainless steel carafe—it’s sturdy, and the vacuum seal ensures it keeps my coffee at 154°F or hotter for hours, The only minor downside is the LCD screen isn’t backlit but that is no big deal. I love this pot and its features and functions.

Great coffee maker and really affordable
I bought this coffee maker to replace our Cuisinart coffee maker that gave up the ghost after many years of service. I wasn’t sure about my choice to go with the Black & Decker because it was quite a bet cheaper than a new Cuisinart but I have to say it’s been great and I don’t regret my choice at all. My biggest gripe with the Cuisinart was how small the opening on the carafe was that made it difficult to clean. The Black & Decker has a large opening making cleaning a breeze. It also has a better pour spout than the Cuisinart. The only downside is that the carafe doesn’t keep the coffee hot as long as it predecessor did but that’s rarely a problem in our household. The programming display is also a little Hard to read with my old eyes. I doubt it would be a problem for younger users. All in all it makes a great cup of coffee in under 10 minutes and I often use the scheduling feature so I wake up with that first cup waiting for me in the mornings.

Brews a good hot cup of coffee
I have owned many coffee makers who price’s ranging from $50-$200 dollars. This does as well as a job as the others. Coffee comes out piping hot every time. It was really funny that I was ready to send it back when I was putting through the first run. The water wasn’t going into the carafe it would just stay where the grinds were and it turns out you can’t brew the coffee without the lid on the carafe for it to work properly. I just wished it had an automatic shut off but for $65.00 really can’t complain. Recommend using Bunn filters, fit great. Carafe has a wide enough opening to clean the inside. Definitely worth the money.

Decent, but I thought I would like this more
I've had this coffee maker now for about 3 weeks. I don't love it, but I don't hate it. I'm also not 100% sure if I would recommend it either. Here's why. PLEASE READ ENTIRE REVIEW FOR IMPORTANT INFO. Before purchasing this, I read lots of the reviews, and watched all of the video reviews before I decided on this one. Because everyone seemed happy with theirs, I went ahead and bought it. It was pricier than others, but I always go by the old saying, "you get what you pay for". It shipped very quickly and arrived the next day. When I got mine, I went through the setup procedure and I was ready to enjoy my first pot of coffee. The first thing I noticed was the lid was very loose, and I knew it was supposed to "lock" into place. After all, that's how the coffee is supposed to stay hot, in the carafe, and not on a warming plate, right? Even the description states: • 4 LAYER VACUUM SEALED THERMAL CARAFE: keeps coffee hot for up to two hours with the 4-layer vacuum sealed thermal carafe. On mine, I quickly discovered that there was a plastic seal missing from the carafe lid, which supposedly makes the carafe air tight. I reached out to Black+Decker and they quickly sent me a replacement lid (thank you Black+Decker). Finally, after getting the new lid I would be able to enjoy nice hot coffee. And I did...sort of. After using it for a few weeks now, I've noticed that the first cup of coffee that comes out is piping hot. By the time I get my second cup (maybe 45 minutes later) the coffee is what I would describe as "very warm", not hot. By the time I get to my 3rd cup, (don't judge) the coffee in the carafe is just lukewarm, (hello Mr. Microwave). I think I expected it to remain closer to hot much longer. BUT, while writing this review, I noticed in the product description it says: • IMPORTANT PRO TIP: To help coffee stay at brewed temperature, warm the carafe by filling with hot tap water and then discarding before brewing. So, I tried that this morning, and, it did help somewhat to keep the coffee in the carafe hotter, longer. I'm going to keep doing this and experiment to get the best results. My feeling on this is that it's just an extra step in the morning I wouldn't have to do with a traditional coffee maker with a glass carafe. One thing I do like is that the carafe does stay cool to the touch on the outside and also the no-drip spout feature. What I used to like about my old coffee maker is being able to use the glass carafe to measure the water and pour it right into the reservoir. With this carafe, there's no way to do that so I have to use a measuring cup. This is a minor inconvenience though. One other feature I wish this coffee maker had is that the clock display does not illuminate when power button is pushed (see picture) or while brewing coffee. It seems like a very dim display. Bottom line, typically if I don't like something I buy, I return it. However, I'm not going to return this simply because I don't want to go through the hassle of packing it all up and returning it, and I still get my coffee every morning.

5wks and Works Fantastic
5 weeks and works fantastic. Nice to wake up to 6 mugs of piping hot coffee, that stays nice and hot (even with adding creamer) for about 4hrs and warm thereafter, so it doesn't go to waste...I like it hot. Had to buy new paper filters, but no problem with collapsing and getting grounds in the coffee. The ability to pull out the carafe while coffee is brewing is nice when forgetting to auto button at night. It is a great replacement for one where that didn't function properly. So glad we got it.

Keep Iterating, Black and Decker
They are close ... and if they keep iterating, we have a 5 star product. * Most people complain about the display ... so fix it. It is hard to read in low-light environments since there is no backlight. * Also, from a user experience, if the "Strong" button is on the right, put "STRONG" on the right in the display. A first-year product designer would know to do that. * Can the "Vortex Showerhead" be designed to be easily removed for easier washing? * Autoshutoff if the lid is left open? This could be done by checking the water coming from the reservoir, since when the lid is open, it recycles the very hot water back into the reservoir. * The design of the carafe is more convenient that my old "screw top" carafe, but I feel this design leaks a little bit of heat. I'll have to do an experiment with a thermometer to verify. The "STRONGER" button is nice (although you will be waiting a bit for the coffee to brew), and the large opening in the carafe make cleaning the carafe easy. This is a decent coffee maker for the price, and they just need to list to customer feedback and keep iterating.

Paguei caro
