I plugged it in last night, the plug was over heating I then plugged it into another plug socket and within seconds it was hot again. These items (should be tested by a qualified eletrition first). Plug adaptors should not over heat under 17 seconds. They should not be sold. Ive posted this item off to Watchdog. As I've been told they are a serious fire hazard. The was battered, opened wasn't impressed. As thow some one bought it before and being sold on again. Amazon must take this very seriously indeed. And I want refunded please. Ive not got the item as I've posted it off to the professional Independent Watchdog Company. So you this item will not be sold on. Therefore the Independent Companies can have a look and check it for themselves.

The base was very nice until the power in my house went off in the middle of the night and this is what we found. It wasn't even turned on. The only bit that was in the wall socket was the bit of the case, the rest had been completely blown apart. It scorched the top of the unit that it landed on. Very lucky not to catch fire.

Great way to light up a room. Refracted light though crystal. Works really well with the crystal bear available elsewhere on Amazon
