Saved me thousands!
I have alignment issues and I need to get spinal decompression frequently. It’s expensive so I am so glad I found this. It gives me the same relief but for way less money and less time spent. My hips and back have never felt so even and my back pain is 70-80% better in between adjustments which I only need once a month now. I highly recommend this to anyone who has done spinal decompression before from a professional provider and needs something to use at home so you can go to the chiropractor less. Definitely talk to your doctor first about using this device, my doctor thought it was a OK to use but advised me on proper use. The price is a little high for what it is, basically just a few straps and some bungee cords in between, nothing special but it works and it doesn’t take up a lot of space. I’ve used other in home decompression devices, like the ones that use air to pump them up, I feel like I get the same relief and it’s much easier and quicker to get to the resistance level you need without pumping until your blue in the face. I’ve worked up to the point where I can put a lot of resistance on without issues and this strap is perfect for that, just move your body back more and instant tension is added. This product should still be used with caution and definitely take it easy at first, I had a muscle spasm because I over stretched and caused my hip to go out of alignment the opposite way of my normal misalignment (right leg is always shorter, I stretched so much that the right side was slightly longer than the left after just a few uses, that’s how powerful this strap is), which I didn’t realize was causing the muscles on the other side of my back that are normally smaller and weaker because they aren’t used as much as the other side. But now I can feel them being engaged a lot more. Now after about 6 weeks of stretching every day and doing decompression 2-3 times a week, and also using a leg pillow when I sleep—my back feels a lot stronger than it was before, even when I was getting weekly adjustments and 20 min a week of decompression at the chiropractors office, this strap really made the difference. From my experience I feel like I could have achieved the same results by taking it a little slower and not causing the muscle pull/spasm.. If you’re hesitant on the price I was also at first but ended up happy with my purchase because of the effectiveness, the bungee cords create the rubber band like resistance but also the stability of a strap, so it makes sense, it’s well designed and would be hard to try to create your own DIY version, that sounds dangerous anyways, so save yourself the pain and headache of constant back pain and buy this product, you’ll be glad you did!

Really only works for lumbar area
Works reasonably well for lumbar region. I don't notice any traction in sacral region and very little in thoracic. Easy to set up and use, however I am not able to blow up the supports fully due to the valve size. The hole is too big for any of the pumps I have, too big to do it by mouth and difficult to plug without losing air. It is very compact and portable so I can take it with if I have to leave home. The box it comes in measures 8" x 10" x 4". Though it is a bit pricey, it's worth the money considering the other way is to pay for a therapist or chiropractor to apply traction manually. For a DIY traction device for home it's pretty good.

I did the 21 day challenge!
It is the night of the 21st day and I have to say that 21 days ago my back was in so much pain. I couldn't sleep, walk around, work, and many other things without experiencing a small grindy type feeling and a pain sensation in my lower back. I used to hang on a pull-up bar everyday and keep most of the pain at Bay. I own an inversion table, a spine / back thing you lay on, and I used to own this thing that you would push against your legs while lying down that was made of steel and looked like a bicycle handle. Nothing ever worked to where I could say that there wasn't this small sensation in my back. Now I am happy to say that my back pain is gone and I finally have the freedom to sleep throughout the entire night and wake up without any pain whatsoever. A lot of people have only back pain when they're awake and I had it when I was asleep and awake. This pain would cause me to never go into deep sleep and all I would do is just dream and wake up and so I was exhausted all the time. When I was young I landed directly on my coccyx bone and I'm not sure if that is the reason my back hurts so much or why I have had these issues but it sure seems that that was probably it. I never used the wedge that is offered. I would just stretch it about as far as it would go until it was trying to pull me across the floor, in this case a mat, and then I would lay back and point my toes directly towards the ceiling. Sometimes I cross my legs a little bit where my toes are and I would switch in between and then to release the tension to allow fluid to go into the spine I would use both hands to pull on the harness rather than using the cord that is provided. Sometimes I even would help the tension by pushing on the harness towards the door so I would get a stronger pull. When I first bought this thing I did it once or twice a week and it seemed to provide somewhat of a difference but eventually I kind of gave up. When the pain got worse though I decided to look on YouTube to see if I was doing something wrong or if there was a better way to use it and I found out that you can't just do it once or twice a week it's got to be consecutive daily and you have to do the 21 Day challenge to really get the full benefit. This is part of my regimen now so even though the 21 days is up I'm going to continue this because I have never felt this much relief A lot of strength training and weightlifting require a spinal decompression by means of hanging on a pull-up bar and I used to do it all the time but now that I've realized that there's only so far you can get from the pull-up bar, because the hang tenses up specific muscles and prevents you from getting a full stretch, I am going to use this everyday until I have to buy a new one because the bands will give eventually. Thank you for this wonderful product because now I'm able to do the work that I need to do and I can sleep through the night.

Examine carefully before use!
My Physical Therapist recommended this item to continue my traction therapy at home. The first time I tried it the rubber tensioner bands started to detach. I’m just glad I noticed before it let loose completely and sling shotted back into my privates.

Not worth $70
It's one big hassle. You put it on the door knob, step back and sit on the floor and put it on the back of your head. Then, you scoot, scoot and scoot some more until you find the tension you want. Heaven help you if you have a pillow or wedge to put under your back. Adjusting its position while keeping tension is a royal pain. Once it's on and pulling, you first have to get used to the strap around your head crushing your skull. Then, the cramping in your neck starts. If you relax enough, it sometimes becomes tolerable enough to finish your set time. When finished, I recommend a massager of some kind to help with the cramps. Afterwards, though, you DO feel some of the tension in your neck and shoulders is gone. I continue to use it in hopes of an accumulation effect (keep using it for better rewards)

Great Product, Affordable, and Easy to Use
I began using the device in the middle of January after considering buying it for a couple of years. I am very pleased with it and use it 1 – 2 times per day since I have spinal stenosis as well as some other physical issues that I have been relieving with techniques I learned from physical therapists. I wish they had recommended this decompression, as this is much more convenient and a time saver. My condition may continue to deteriorate somewhat over time, and when my doctor suggested an epidermal or surgery, I finally decided to try the product. I am pleased to say that I can now take long walks with my wife again without discomfort and can bend over much more easily to pick up anything on the floor as it has increased my flexibility as well. If I had to do it over again, I would have bought this much sooner. I would recommend watching all the videos on Dr. Fisher's website before using it for input regarding usage and recommended techniques. I find the product to be very durable, and well worth the price. It has improved my mobility immensely!

Way too complicated
Too complicated and not very effective. I didn’t take the 21 day challenge. I used for a week with minimal results then I saw a YouTube video using a 41 inch resistance band around the hips while laying on your back while the band around your hips ( luka Hocevar lower back exercises) . It worked great, much more effective, no waiting period and much cheaper.

Life Saver: Probably the best invention for your back!
I don’t normally write reviews, but thank you for creating this life changing product. I had a pretty major lower back injury by doing deadlifts and boxing. I went to chiropractor, acupuncture, and have used the pull-up bar hanging decompressor, as well as the inversion table. I would say all of it helped to work up to me finding this product that really saved my lower back (L4/L5) The G-force technology is really what you need because it’s stronger than just using your body weight by hanging or inverting. I always felt after awhile of hanging upside down I needed more of a pull force, someone to just pull me on my feet and head if you will. As soon as I started using it I could feel it’s pulling at just the right parts of my lower back/hips. I’ve worked up to a point now I would stretch it out as far back as I can to really feel the pull. It’s a feeling like I’ve never had before decompressing. Keeping building your core strength and use this product (maybe a combination of everything), and best wishes to all to your recovery journey! Never knew how much I took my back for granted until this injury. Thanks Fisher Traction!!
