Excellent Fit, Comfort, and Protection!
I’ve been using the Giro Montaro MIPS II for a while now, and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. The fit is fantastic—snug but comfortable, thanks to the adjustable Roc Loc 5 Air system, which allows for precise adjustments. The helmet feels very secure without being too tight, and the ventilation is excellent, keeping my head cool even on long rides.The MIPS technology gives me extra confidence, knowing I have added protection in case of a crash. The extended coverage at the back provides great support, especially for technical trails and downhill sections. Plus, the visor is adjustable and works well with goggles, making it super versatile for different riding conditions.Overall, this is a top-tier MTB helmet that balances comfort, safety, and style. Nice helmet!
Nice helmet that has held up well to two years of use. It has not taken any knocks or drops, so nothing to report there. But the liners, straps, and adjustment mechanism for back all work as good as new. Size is true.

Great fit with added safety
I replaced my 8 year old Giro Hex with this for the added safety of MIPS II built into it. My previous Giro helmet fit great, so I was expecting the same with Giro Montaro, and I was not disappointed. It's a great fit, it's comfortable and the visor is more useful than those on its competitors.

Round headed rider
This is a great helmet if you have a round head. Most helmets are oval and pinch the side of my head and have too much room front and back. It's light enough that you barely notice your wearing a helmet.

Finally! A helmet shaped like a human head!!!
The media could not be loaded. This felt like it was custom made for me right out of the box! I love the white color ( reflects heat and more visible). The anchor system sat instantly where it belongs, and it was easy to dial in the back. I tried many helmets and always ended up with a red mark across my forehead or worse, a headache. Most helmets are round but most human heads are oval or egg shaped (I’m an artist so I think about these things) This hugs my head with even pressure, so no ugly pressure points.

Great. But one flaw
Great helmet. Except the rear piece at the adjuster extends too low and scratches into my the back of my neck.
