well made, high flow
The built on stake is very useful for positioning. The flow rate can be very high or just a dribble, so it is easy to combine different sized containers on one system, or to water large areas. These are terminal fitting, no flow-through. For dribbling, you can tee several of these of a 4mm tube. It takes a lot of water at high flow - wide spray so each then needs its own 4mm tube from a larger (13mm) supply pipe.

Excellent product
Nice product, well made and easy to use. Simple twist action to adjust water flow. Stake is a good length and strong. As always pipe that connects will need warming in hot water before pushing on to connecter. Highly recommend.

Good value
It's true that the nipples for attaching the micro tubing are somewhat bigger than on Hozelok products. But a judicious use of emery paper and boiling water solved the problem. And, at approximately 30p each (compared with ยฃ1.50 for Hozelock equivalents) they're good value. The spray pattern adjustment is not quite as sophisticated as the Hozelock equivalent but it is manageable. They're such good value that I recommend them if you're prepared to fiddle around a little.

perfect
i had ordinary drip feed before, these are a game changer, I can now put different plants on he same system and the all getthe ampount of water they need. can be turned completely off too.

Not adjustable enough for me.
They have "click stop" adjustment, and I found that one click after "a dribble" provided far too much water. So not adjustable enough for me.

Rubbish
Hard to push onto pipe.

Waste of money
Fixed a length of pipe with these droppers, and got water through about 2 metres. A lot of time and money wasted. Reverted to the hosepipe.

I just installed these on my balcony container garden and would probably give it a six-star review in comparison to others I've used over the years. Two key advantages: (1) only one part per spigot; and (2) adjustability. (1) One Part Only. My old system (two different brands over ~12 years) was ridiculous in retrospect requiring a piece of tubing to the water source mounted to the flow restrictor, then mounting another piece of tubing on the other side of the flow restrictor, then a spigot protector thingie on the end, and finally an awkward clip-on spike to keep in in place. These ones require you to simply plug the emitter into the tubing, shove it into the ground, and boom you're done. (2) Adjustability. My small container garden has a lot of separate emitters on a single, branched water supply. Different heights, tubing lengths, distance from water source, number of spigots on each chain = massively-varying water pressure across the system. Other systems require you to choose between different but fixed gpm emitters. If one area has too much or too little water, your only option then is to either cut out the emitter and replace, or splice in an extra emitter. For these La Farah emitters, you just do a simple twist to get the right flow. Tips for setup: get your whole chain of tubing and emitters set up and mounted into your garden as you want them set up, then turn on the water supply. Although the sprinkler umbrella pattern looks great, you want to focus on getting the right amount of water to your plants. I use a flow reducer to 25psi to reduce strain on tubing and reduce risk of water hammer and blowout. Starting near the water source, adjust the hard-spraying ones back by twisting until you're getting decent flow at the far end. Pressure drops the further you are from the source and the more emitters on the chain, so if you have the emitters wide open at the beginning, there won't be much pressure left for the plants at the far end. Just one minor caveat: if you have stiff 1/4" tubing, the barb is a bit tough to get on and your hands will tire out. If your tubing is softer/more flexible, it will be a piece of cake. The good news is that it's never going to fall off once it's on. Tip: you can stretch the opening a bit by shoving the spiked bottom of the spigot into the tubing before putting the barb in the tubing. If you have the patience, dipping in hot water or doing in full, hot sun will soften the tubing, making it easier.
