Cuts good haven't had chance to use very much so far its doing a good job. when weather breaks will use more and see how it holds up.

While this does have a pilot arc, it turns off after you start cutting, I had brand new consumables, plenty of air pressure and my ground connection was clean, the unit came with minimal instructions, I tried cutting thin clean 1/8" metal and was not able to keep the cut going after the pilot arc turned off, I guess it was a defective unit? returned immediately and was "refunded my money" cause they don't give you your money back, those are amazon credits, which I never understood until my first experience with an amazon "refund". now I understand how jeff got to be so rich, he never gives anybody there money back, you get store credits instead. sheez I feel so dirty now.

This is my first plasma cutter I've owned. I wanted something to cut relatively thin metal with. I've only used this on 120 volt and as long as you go slow it seems to cut well through the metal. I would imagine when I put it on 220 volt that it should cut faster than what I'm experiencing. I wish it had a built-in air compressor because it's a little cumbersome having to hook in my air compressor to use it every time. I realize that having a built-in air compressor would probably bump the price up quite a bit. For my small projects I have been very pleased with its performance.

This plasma cutter says that its maximum severance cut thickness is 11/16 of an inch, that it pretty impressive if it’s true. I haven’t tried that and probably won’t ever need to, so I am not sure if it lives up to the claim. I do know that it does a good job cutting through metal typically used for fabrication, out buildings and such. I like that it doesn’t produce as much slag, but there is still some, which can’t really be avoided. The directions for this could be better, they skip some things and leave out some information, but if you have ever used one before you can figure it out. If you like to work on projects at home, this is a great tool to have on hand. Overall, I would say that it makes nice cuts. I am not sure about its claims of 11/16” maximum severance, but for most at home projects you won’t need that. I think for the price it is a great tool that you will find many uses for.
