Great weather station for long term use
This is the third Davis Vantage Pro station we've had at this location. The previous one, a Vantage Pro 2 that replaced an original Vantage Pro was placed in service15 years ago. Still worked, however, the solder point for one of the battery terminals failed making the supply power intermittent. Rather than just resoldering that terminal, we decided to replace the system with the newer designed rain bucket and tipping gauge. The new tipping gauge is a different design and we are taking it on faith that Davis has engineered this single tip model to match the performance of traditional two bucket tip designs. (This change made our household climatologist nervous.) The new, redesigned display has some nice features including WiFi connectivity for sending data to the Davis Weather Link internet site and receiving data from air particle sensors, which we do not have (yet.) Happily the Weather Envoy and a collection of Pro 2 displays, in use for the past 15 years, connected seamlessly. The solar light sensor transferred easily to the new housing's base and worked corrected. it appears that the "brains" of the system are unchanged, but I would expect that the the current production model solar panel is more powerful than the one from 15 years ago. In short this is appears to be a good, iterative design improvement over the previous Vantage Pro 2.

Works well but not the range expected
I replaced an old Vantage Vue with the Pro2. I wanted to locate the Pro2 in a wetland area about 700 feet from the house where the console is located. Although there are trees between the sensors and the house I can still see the sensors from the window where the console is located. The product specs indicated up to 1000 ft (line of sight) range between the sensors and console unit, however, I couldn't get a viable signal from the sensors and the console. So I purchased a repeater, located it about 300 ft from the sensors (400 ft from the house), and now get a good signal. So, my only complaint is the specs advertising a range up to 1000 ft. My recommendation to anyone siting their sensors more than 500 ft from the console is to also purchase the repeater as well. Setup for both was simple.

Super accurate, easy setup
Excellent pro grade weather station, my neighbor has a similar model and the data amazingly matches up daily with mine so they are very accurate. A bit pricey but this seems like it will last, my neighbor has had his for 8 trouble free years. Love being able to monitor station ftom phone, ipad or the monitor it comes with. Highly recommended!

Only connects with WeatherLink Cloud
The new console only updates the Davis WeatherLink Cloud site. It will not update a local weather page. There is no place to attach the data logger used to update third party applications.

They really do make good stuff.
Purchased to replace my 9 year old Vantage Pro 2 that was recently hit by lightning. Basically the same sturdy outside instruments but the new Weatherlink console is really nice! Easy to setup and so much more info than the previous model I had.

Dead on arrival
I read the reviews and decided that this is the quality weather station I want. I'm tired of buying new every 2 to 3 years with brand L. It arrives, well packaged. Got it set up and nothing from the Advantage Vue 2 on the console. Turns out the transmitter on the wireless transmitter was faulty. Davis is replacing it for no charge but there was an info sheet on how QC has tested everything. Right. Basically another week without. The vendor was great, arrived sooner that promised, well packaged at the best price I could find. They get 5 stars. Davis, not so much. Update: Transmitter replaced. Console is junk. Walk 30 feet away and the signal strength drops to poor. They are sending me a new console. I have my doubts that this will fix all the issues. I can NOT recommend this product. I suspect this will be going back.

Great weather station that needs some improvements.
I have had great success with Davis weather stations in the past. This one, I had problems with the signal, and then the console went out and retained no memory of rainfall totals. I feel this is poor engineering and/or software programming. I am glad that the app retains the rainfall totals, but this does not feed back to the display unit in my home.
