Love this cool "weather system"!
I wanted a nice new outdoor weather station that sends the info inside to a panel on my wall. I looked at lots of options from those things that need wifi down to the old black/white displays that just have a simple sensor outside. I chose this great model because I have used La Crosse products for years and thing they are very durable and reliable. This particular model has a super clear, color-coded interface that shows me all of the important details at just the right size and emphasis on the screen. So far things look to be super accurate and always updating with moon phase, upcoming weather, current pressure w/history, time/date of course, humidity and temp in and out. The only think I wish this had was a display on the outside unit, just for convenience, so keep that in mind if that is a sticking point for you. Also note that to get all of these super colorful displays, you need to plan to plug this up on the wall. Wires don't look so great but it is worth it to me.

La Crosse Technology Color Forecast Station - Large Display, Temperature/Humidity Alerts
La Crosse Technology Color Forecast Station - Large Display, Temperature/Humidity Alerts, Seasonal Scenes - Indoor This is the best weather station. I have had one for almost ten years. In 2025 I bought one for my brother who lives on the West Coast. His wife said it was the best birthday gift for him. Would definitely recommend this weather station to everyone.

Accurate, Nice Looking, Weather Station.
My fifteen year old Accurite finally bit the dust. I considered getting another Accurite, but this La Crosse was on a special sale for an amazingly low price and had good reviews. So I bought it. It was easy to set up and I had it going almost immediately. The display is very nice looking and its easy to read the current temp and see the projected weather from a distance. The temp, barometer, and humidity readings seem to be accurate and line up close to reports from a nearby NWS weather station. The weather forecast is internal and is hit or miss. Only products that receive a forecast online can be expected to do any better. Still, with a little experience and familiarity with local weather, the forecast info can be helpful, if not particularly accurate. My only complaint is that the 24 hour High and Low are not on the main screen. You have to access a sub screen to see them, which is easy on a desktop, but can be a little fiddly when its mounted on a wall. They were on the main screen of my old Accurite and I didn't realize how much I'd miss not having them there. I've had it now about six months going from colder weather to hotter here in Houston, TX. It has been a pretty good little weather station. My complaint about the 24 hour temp is personal taste, and may result in my eventually getting a different one, but it may not apply to you. Still, I can recommend the La Crosse weather station with the warning to verify for any weather station you are interested in that the screen layout will meet your needs.

My own weather station.
Everything works just fine. It's big enough for easy reading from across the room.

Simple setup, nice display.
La Crosse has several layouts with similar info so you can pick what you want to look at. I chose this one for the emphasis on the outside temp. I can see that from afar. Time is tiny... don't get this one as a clock. This one has a couple extras which tipped the scales. Moon phase is a bonus, pressure graph is a bonus. But that's a personal preference. Tech setup was great after battling my old Sharp wx station every time the remote unit needed batteries. This one... insert batteries and it works. Did a quick roll through the settings and we're up and running. Nice to have some feedback on both ends too. Red light on the remote and signal strength on the display. Can't speak to the range as I'm not taxing it much. Remote unit is 10' away with one external wall between. Now to see if it lasts. Opportunities for improvement: - Backlighting has two settings (plus off) that are too far apart in my opinion. Super bright glowing like the sun, or barely on and worthless unless you're sitting in a pitch dark room. I'd set it somewhere between if I could but I'll live with the glare of the max setting. - When you have an atomic clock, accurate to the fraction of a second... it would be nice to have the seconds displayed. I'll miss that. But I'll use the smart phone to set the watch in the future... nbd. - The atm. pressure trend graph... I was hoping it would stop flashing once it got 24hrs of data, but nope. Dumbest display ever. 7 bars in the graph, it blanks out, then shows you one bar each second... so 7 seconds to wait until you see the trend... then blank again and it starts over. Hope you got a good look at it in that 1 second where it was complete. Really lousy design there. You could do that to the time display or the day text... build the anticipation showing it one letter at a time... but you don't because that would be insane and counter to the goal of displaying info. This isn't a neon sign in Vegas! Just show the bar graph and move it when the data fills in. And if you don't have a number for -24hr, leave it blank! It'll fill in after a day and in the meanwhile it's accurate and understandable. Really bad software decision there. None of that is worth losing a star. Note on batteries for remote. Lots of these long time remote things tell you to use alkalines and not rechargeables. That's because most rechargeables lose power just sitting there so you have to change all the time. I use Eneloops which do not decay much over time and they worked fine for my last remote unit. (and any other device with low power needs that need to last... i.e. remote controls) So far, loving the station. Accuracy looks good so far.

I like it would buy another
I like knowing what the weather is. My lacrosse weather station from Costco broke after 10 years. I then went on this ridiculous journey of buying at least $800 worth of weather stations trying to find a replacement that was not lacrosse. I sent every single one of them back And they all had a different problem with them. Mostly the sensors weren’t accurate. I bought this lacrosse unit and the sensors are accurate and I can recommend it, but do you know the display is weird and you really need to look at it head on if it’s sitting on the countertop and you’re standing up It’s just faded out LCD but if you get it up high enough and a fairly straight angle, it’s super bright and clear and well laid out. Now when I needed a real weather station with all of the sensors, I got a Tempest. But the tempest doesn’t have a nice display. You gotta use your iPad.

Nowhere in the product descriptions did the Seller warn buyers that the power converter plug (supplied as USA 2-pin when unpacked) is NOT SUITABLE in countries where mains electric power is delivered at higher voltages. In other words, the product as described and as supplied is NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE in the United Kingdom … other than on batteries ONLY. I did not want to purchase a weather station that relied solely on battery power! The product description needs serious amendment to make this clear. As it is my converter plug has blown and is useless. VERY UNHAPPY with this!

I have bought 3 different company types, and this is the only company brand that is dead on for the inside and outside temperature, the atmospheric pressure can also be adjust to the correct value if needed.
