These things are great
I have a few of these, in different tensions, and they are great. Primarily, I got the light and the medium to improve my finger strength for playing piano, but my partner recently had an injury that required exercising her tendons to rehabilitate her hand, I also invested in the XX light and X light. Though too easy for anyone with "normal" strength in their hands, they prove to be challenging enough to rebuild strength for those who need to start at a lower resistance. The design is elegant, as each finger can be exercised individually as the springs are independent of each other, or you can just squeeze them all for a full hand workout. I found this particularly useful for strengthening my pinkie for playing guitar...as we use all the other fingers more frequently in our daily lives, our pinkies tend to not have much "grip". They sit comfortably in the hand, thanks to the contoured foam, and can be used in either hand by simply turning them around. One observation would be that they are not cheap, so you may be better finding one in a shop and working out your starting point before investing in the next one up from Amazon. If you need to develop finger strength and grip, or need a little booster to your rehab following an injury, these gizmos are a perfect choice.

Great product, but....
I recently fractured and displaced a bone in my elbow which necesitated surgery, and my hand is unable to grip very well so I thought this would be ideal for getting it back to normal. Unfortunately, my fingers still cannot grip and tend to slide off the finger buttons even being XX Light........however, I shall persevere with it as it may yet prove to be useful to strengthen my hand. A good tool though!!!!

Broken arm
I bought this as my daughter broke her wrist and needed surgery to fuse the bones and her fingers will not work, this has been a great gadget to exercise her fingers and arm muscles as she is unable to life any sort of weight. she uses it daily and the physio has said her strength is returning.

Great product. I already use a heavier gauge version for strengthening my guitar hand, but my wife needed a really lightweight version for doing exercises to help her to recover from a wrist injury, and this one is perfect for it.

What I needed
It's very light so ideal for my damaged hand. The light variety is a challenge for some of my fingers. The extra light helps with flexibility

as a result you might be able to play better guitar sooner
If you are a guitarist, sure you can strengthen your fingers by constant playing - but this will strengthen them faster, and, as a result you might be able to play better guitar sooner. I am of slight build and I use this XX-light tension gripmaster to, in particular, strengthen my pinky finger. I use a higher tension gripmaster for the other fingers.

I got the lowest strength as I’m a senior with a bit of arthritis. I want to increase my finger strength and also practice on using them independently. I play ukulele and recently took up the violin so I need to keep my fingers limber and strong. I really like this device. It seems like it will be very helpful. It works in either hand. It’s comfortable to use and helps me isolate the fingers, especially the pinky, and helps with joint flexing. I almost knocked off one star because the third and fourth pads rub against each other a little. But, that could be a result of me not pushing straight down. I may move up to the next level after a few months. Also easy to pack so I can exercise anywhere. It’s noiseless so you won’t disturb your neighbor on a plane.
