She had a flimsy grey ,unstable and you definitely knew it was a commode! After she had a accident, I told her it was about time she got a new one,before she had a bad fall and really hurt herself.I started to look on amazon saw some cheap ones like my mum's old one, saw some dear ones,and than I found this one, yes it was more expensive than my mum wanted to pay she does not like spending money on herself.I thought how nice it looked and sturdy and told her it was better to pay a bit more for one especially when it did not look like a commode as she was embarrassed when people came in her home and you could see her old one as she needed it out in her bedroom all the time when she first got it ,it went away in the day time but as she spends most of her time in her bedroom now she needs it close. Well we finally got this delivered she was over the moon with it, you can definitely not know it's a commode unless you get down and look under it! She feels more safe and it looks great in her bedroom i even sit on it myself when I go in to see her as the top chair pad is very comfortable. She was unable to go to the bathroom and was embarrassed to have an NHS supply commode beside her. We purchased this chair. The sellers had it delivered before their promised time and it did not disappoint. It is beautifully made, sturdy, easy to clean and the strong arms make for good leverage for a frail person getting up. Anyone can sit on it as a comfortable chair when visiting and nobody has any idea it is a commode. My mother is happy to use it and have it sit when people are in. I thought it a bit pricey but it was delivered for the price, it is beautifully made and is excellent for the purpose. Do not be put off by any negative review. I am fussy but can thoroughly recommend to anyone without hesitation.
