I already own two IMILAB cameras, and I tried this one. To my surprise, this version now pushes a paid subscription through the Mi Home app — something that was never required with my previous cameras. The “talk through phone” feature barely works, as the camera often freezes and the internal speaker fails most of the time. On top of that, this model does not includes the baby cry detection function, which was one of the key reasons I chose Xiaomi in the past. Overall, very disappointing experience.

Aktuell habe ich drei dieser Kameras, die meinen Garten überwachen, und sie funktionieren einwandfrei. Besonders praktisch ist die benutzerfreundliche App, mit der ich alle Kameras problemlos verwalte. In jede Kamera habe ich eine SD-Karte eingesetzt, sodass sie kontinuierlich aufnehmen, sobald sich draußen etwas bewegt. Dadurch kann ich jederzeit bequem die Videos zurückblicken und weiß, dass keine wichtigen Momente verloren gehen. Die Videoqualität ist hervorragend, mit klaren und detailreichen Aufnahmen bei Tag und Nacht. Die Bewegungserkennung ist zuverlässig und ich bekomme sofort eine Benachrichtigung auf mein Handy, sobald etwas passiert. Insgesamt bietet die Xiaomi Smart Camera C400 eine tolle Kombination aus Leistung, einfacher Bedienung und verlässlicher Aufzeichnung – für mich die ideale Lösung für die Sicherheit zuhause.
