Thermalright AM5 CPU Contact Frame

Does what it should, fits great and will help when repasting as there will be less mess to clear

Nicely made and fits perfectly, great for helping out when cleaning off old thermal paste, not sure it adds anything to the cooling efficiency of my aio but it certainly looks the part.

Looks FAR better than the original mounting bracket that came with my motherboard. Prevents thermal paste from getting into the cpu but sadly did not change thermals as far as I can tell. It is worth it for looks and design alone.

Does what it says, there isn’t much else about it to be honest, looks nice, does its job, no bells or whistles, just straight forward functionality. The fit was great, easy to apply, good value for money, can’t fault it.

I've used these in 3 different AM5 builds now, and have come to prefer them. Installation isn't overly difficult, just 4 torx head screws (a driver is supplied, along with some TIM, but I prefer to use my own). AM5 isn't known for problems with bending like Intel overly, so don't expect huge temperature improvements, but these do help to keep the TIM from ending up down the side of the CPU (stupid IHS design), some still goes down, but not nearly as much. Also, it could be pure coincidence, but I have had 0 of the memory controller problems I read some people had had with AM5 sockets thanks to temperature changes causing expansion and contraction issues changing the pressure on the socket from the cooler, across 3 different motherboards. End of the day, they're cheap, and might be doing something useful.. Just remember to retain the clip system that comes with your board, just in case.

Perfect fit. Although completely unnecessary as it does not provide any meaningful thermal benefit, it helps with thermal paste spillover, makes everything easier to clean. You could argue it improves mounting pressure, but that's anecdotal and difficult to prove.

I got this thinking it would look cool even though I won’t see it at all haha. But seen there are good results in temps. Have to say there were no jokes it is amazing results. Money wise it is great pricing. They even provide paste with the item. It’s easy to install. Fitting it is no hassle. It’s durable it’s nothing flimsy you can trust it holding your cpu.
